Corporate Vice President - Gemini Enterprise Product Owner

The Gemini Enterprise Product Owner at New York Life is responsible for defining, governing, and scaling the enterprise use of Google Gemini and related GenAI capabilities across the firm. This role owns the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for Gemini as an enterprise platform, ensuring secure, compliant, and value-driven adoption aligned with New York Life’s business priorities, risk posture, and regulatory obligations.

The Product Owner partners closely with Business stakeholders, Data & AI, Cloud Platform, Information Security, Risk/Compliance, and Legal to enable responsible GenAI usage while delivering measurable business outcomes.

 

What You’ll Do:

Product Vision & Strategy

  • Define and own the enterprise product vision and roadmap for Gemini
  • Identify high-value GenAI use cases aligned to NYL business objectives
  • Prioritize features and capabilities based on business value, risk, and feasibility
  • Establish success metrics and KPIs for Gemini adoption and impact

Backlog & Delivery Management

  • Own and manage the product backlog for Gemini Enterprise
  • Write clear user stories and acceptance criteria for platform and capability enhancements
  • Partner with engineering and platform teams to plan and execute releases
  • Balance innovation with governance, scalability, and operational readiness

Enterprise GenAI Enablement

  • Enable approved use of Gemini (Enterprise) across business units
  • Define standard usage patterns (e.g., chat, summarization, code assistance, knowledge retrieval)
  • Ensure Gemini integrates with enterprise tools, data sources, and workflows where approved
  • Drive adoption through enablement, documentation, and stakeholder engagement

Governance, Risk & Responsible AI

  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and InfoSec to define guardrails for Gemini usage
  • Ensure alignment with Responsible AI, data privacy, and model risk management policies
  • Define data handling, prompt usage, and access control standards
  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, and internal risk assessments

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Gemini Enterprise across NYL
  • Translating business needs into platform requirements
  • Communicate roadmap, capabilities, and limitations to stakeholders
  • Collect feedback and continuously refine the product

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Track usage, adoption, user satisfaction, and business outcomes
  • Monitor risk signals and platform performance
  • Incorporate learnings into roadmap and backlog prioritization
  • Drive continuous improvement and platform maturity

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or Business Product Lead
  • Experience delivering enterprise platforms or digital products
  • Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum product ownership
  • Ability to work across technology, business, and risk stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, prioritization, and decision-making skills
  • Experience in regulated or highly governed environments

 

Preferred / Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Generative AI platforms (Gemini, ChatGPT Enterprise, Copilot, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Google Gemini Enterprise capabilities and limitations
  • Understanding of Responsible AI, data privacy, and AI governance frameworks
  • Experience in financial services or insurance
  • Ability to evaluate and prioritize GenAI use cases
  • Experience partnering with Cloud, Data, and Platform engineering teams

Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $147,500-$211,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
