Position Summary

The Corporate Vice President, which reports to the Vice President, Head of Sales and Expense Planning & Analytics within Foundational Business (FB) FP&A, is responsible leading the Sales Planning and Analytics team.  This role will partner closely with Agency to ensure the Sales Plan directly aligns with Business Strategy, drive analytics and metrics, complete industry benchmarking, and message outcomes and points of decisions to Senior and Executive Leadership. 

 

Core/Key Responsibilities

  • In direct partnership with Agency and Product Management, lead the Agency Life Sales Planning and Outlook processes
  • Consolidate and report broader Enterprise Sales Plan, Outlook, and Actual results across all Foundational and Strategic Lines of Business
  • Develop insightful analytics and messaging, based on analyzing sales experience, agent productivity, industry, and other emerging trends,
  • that informs Senior and Executive Leadership on sales strategy
  • Collaborate with LIMRA to develop sales survey responses and communicate results to Senior and Executive Leadership
  • Partner closely with FP&A (FB and Corp), Insights Solutions, and Corporate Strategy teams on quarterly and BOD reporting
  • Lead and influence change and talent development across the broader Foundational Business FP&A Organization

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Finance, Accounting, and/or Data Science
  • Master’s Degree is a plus, not a must

 

Key Skills and Licenses & Certifications

  • 8+ years of experience in FP&A, Controllership, and/or Business Data Analytics
  • Proficient in Leadership Competencies with specific focus on open communication, operational excellence, and delivering business objectives
  • Strong ability to build relationships and maintain ongoing partnerships
  • Ability to communicate with, and influence leadership to execute

 

Business Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of the Financial Services industry will assist the role in developing appropriate expense frameworks with adequate levels of detail.  Advanced knowledge of the Life Insurance product profitability and unit costs expenses
  • The role requires enough cross functional knowledge to effectively develop meaningful analytics and thoroughly understand the underlying expense structures and resource needs for each area.
