The Senior AV Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of advanced audiovisual systems and collaboration technologies across the enterprise. This role supports mission-critical environments including high-stakes meetings, regulatory review boards, executive conferences, and hybrid collaboration spaces. Candidates must have deep experience in PexIP, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Vyopta, HP/Poly, Barco, and other AV/collaboration technologies, and be able to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and support teams.
The successful candidate will manage AV architecture for both physical and virtual environments, coordinate production changes, report and document platform issues, lead system integrations, and identify opportunities to enhance service quality and efficiency. This role requires strong technical engineering knowledge, project management expertise, vendor management capability, and a proactive service delivery approach. The applicant is responsible for operational and service management processes to ensure that quality, efficiency and agility goals are achieved.
The candidate must demonstrate hands-on expertise with modern AV infrastructure, including cloud-hosted collaboration platforms, AV-over-IP, remote management systems, and performance monitoring tools.
What You’ll Do:
- Deep knowledge of collaboration ecosystems including Microsoft 365, Exchange, Zoom, Webex, and hybrid meeting setups
- Experience supporting and optimizing multi-platform interop with PexIP or CVI gateways
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage escalations for mission-critical collaboration workflows
- Design and engineer AV solutions for high-impact collaboration spaces including boardrooms, conference rooms, huddle spaces, and event areas
- Lead the implementation and support of AV infrastructure leveraging platforms such as Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTR), Zoom Rooms, and PexIP interop gateways
- Configure, monitor, and maintain HP/Poly conferencing systems (G7500, Studio X Series, RealPresence, Trio) and Barco ClickShare
- Utilize Vyopta, Vantage and other tools to monitor system health, analyze usage, and improve room performance and user experience
- Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to manage AV system rollouts, upgrades, and lifecycle planning
- Act as the technical escalation point for AV issues impacting executive meetings, sensitive regulatory events, or high-profile sessions
- Ensure AV systems meet compliance, security, and data retention standards as applicable
- Author and maintain documentation, SOPs, and architectural diagrams
- Provide technical guidance to operations and support teams
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise AV/VC engineering or collaboration infrastructure roles
- Proficiency in AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron) and room scheduling solutions (e.g., FreeSpace, EMS)
- Scripting or automation capabilities using PowerShell, Python, or REST APIs for AV devices and systems
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and incident/change management tools (ServiceNow preferred)
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards for AV in financial or highly regulated environments
- Deep working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and PexIP for video conferencing and interoperability
- Proficiency in AV analytics and monitoring via Vyopta or equivalent platforms
- Familiarity with AV-over-IP, NDI, Dante, and related networking principles (VLANs, QoS, multicast)
- Strong project leadership skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent AV deployments
- Effective troubleshooting skills across complex AV ecosystems, including video, audio, control systems, and network layers
- Proven ability to produce clear technical documentation and train support teams

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $122,500-$210,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
