The Third-Party Lifecycle Manager, Corporate Vice President is responsible for the ownership and active management of NYL's comprehensive third-party inventory. The manager will be accountable for data integrity and controls associated to managing the third-party inventory. This individual will work jointly with Procurement and other inventory source teams to review process and system automation enhancements within the Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) ServiceNow platform. The manager will also lead the establishment of a framework to effectively operationalize the phases within the third-party management lifecycle (Onboarding, Monitoring, Termination) throughout the company.

 

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the ownership and active management of NYL's comprehensive third-party inventory of both Traditional and Non-Traditional Third Parties.
• Evaluate existing lifecycle processes for control effectiveness and implement necessary enhancements.
• Develop an enterprise strategy for consistently measuring third-party performance in a variety of sectors.
• Partner closely with Procurement and Supplier Relationship Management to enhance the processes of third-party inventory management and improve the lifecycle methodology with new enhanced processes and tool integration.
• Provide Second-Line oversight for compliance with the TPRM Program Policies and Standards by establishing a communication plan, facilitating training, and offering robust reporting and metrics with respect to the third-party lifecycle.
• Actively lead lifecycle initiatives identified within the Supplier Management Working Group (SMWG).
• Lead the establishment of an external portal that will provide access for third parties to the relevant NYL requirements.
• Leverage the TPRM toolset to develop a cadence of dashboard reports that present the current risk posture of the business area’s third parties which may include factors such as financial viability, geopolitical risk, and external information security threats.
• Develop an expert understanding of NYL’s existing and future third-party strategies.
• Promote a risk-aware culture, and ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required internal standards and regulations.
• Maintain broad knowledge of best practices and trends in Third-Party Risk Management.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 7+ years experience working in the Insurance or Financial services sector
  • Additional preferred qualifications
    • CTPRP or similar certification
    • Proficient in ServiceNow GRC and Vendor Risk platforms are a plus
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Relevant experience with one or more of thefollowing: Third-Party Risk, Vendor Performance &Portfolio Management, Supply Chain Management,Operational Risk, Audit
    • Demonstrated familiarity with insurance industry
    • Knowledge of various third-party assessment types
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence others
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with different personalities effectively
  •  Prepare presentations / memorandums with clear messaging
