New York Life’s Wealth Management Solutions (WMS) team enables over 11,000 financial professionals to address accumulation goals of their clients through Eagle Strategies (Advisory Business) and NYLIFE Securities (Brokerage Business). WMS is rapidly expanding its offerings as a strategic growth business for NYL.

 

Your role:

As a Digital Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and executing the Wealth Management Solutions digital strategy. This role gives you the opportunity to identify, prioritize and own delivery of new functionality and new digital products to enable financial professionals, clients, and employees in achieving wealth management objectives.

 

This role provides a rare opportunity to drive the digital experience for the wealth management division of a 176-year old, Fortune 100 company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and deliver Digital experiences that support clients in meeting their wealth objectives including introducing new digital wealth products and enhancing the existing user journey
  • Partner with business stakeholders (product lines, operations, service, etc.), technology and engineering, third-party vendors, and other teams to execute and deliver on digital initiatives
  • Own digital product development lifecycle for strategic initiatives from defining product vision/scope to launching MVP to ongoing prioritization of features / enhancements of product
  • Champion initiatives in a hybrid-Agile development environment while ensuring timely delivery and managing stakeholders
  • Ensure successful adoption of new digital features with socialized adoption plans, business requirements, and journey flow mapping
  • Define and monitor usage metrics to assess success of features and drive decisions for next steps and enhancements
  • Assist with decision-making and sequencing with respect to technology and digital priorities for Wealth Management Solutions
  • Additional analyses as needed (e.g. business case development, ROI assessments, Voice of Customer, ...)

About you

  • A problem solver with the desire to work on an entrepreneurial team within a well-established, Fortune 100 company
  • Prior experience in wealth management, financial services, or consulting in a related industry (5+ years)
  • Preferred knowledge of financial digital capabilities (e.g. Financial Planning, Advisor Desktops, Client dashboards, TAMPs, etc.)
  • Preferred experience in technology, digital product management, design thinking, or related roles
  • Excellent organizational skills and proficient in managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player who takes accountability for projects and works collaboratively with others to achieve success
  • Strong stakeholder management skills including written and verbal communications (reader decks)
  • Proficient in data analysis and market research to develop recommendations
  • Bachelors/Undergraduate degree required
