New York Life is hiring a Cross Channel Operations Specialist to bring to market new solutions and programs integrating group and strategic partner channels with our retail agent and advisor business. In this role, you will be working across New York Life business units and directly support the Cross-Channel Operations leader and newly formed Financial Wellness Solutions group.


The ideal candidate will apply a high energy level and business sense to work and communicate with key stakeholders across all business functions and be a passionate self-starter able to navigate ambiguity and competing priorities.


Strategic execution:

  • Develop analyses and plans to execute operational and strategic initiatives including creating program flows, gathering and synthesizing relevant data for operational requirements, and supporting strategic decision-making
  • Facilitate strategic planning processes, including interdependencies between key business and functional areas (i.e., technology, marketing and distribution)
  • Support financial planning processes as needed
  • Work on a small, high performing team with extensive day-to-day contact with leaders and stakeholders across the organization


Organizational and Operating Discipline:

  • Frame and analyze complex problems
  • Partner with key stakeholders (i.e., program managers, channel and product leads) to drive project priorities and support oversight and execution of key initiatives
  • Provide hands-on deep analytical support and develop actionable insights that will influence key decisions on how to manage various facets of the organization
  • Assess areas of opportunity, in line with overall vision and strategy to develop pragmatic solutions to key strategic and operational issues


Leadership support:

  • Align, prioritize and curate all documentation related to strategic vision and related initiatives.
  • Assist in workflow and tactical processes working closely with external vendors
  • Provide support to quickly turnaround ad-hoc requests / projects as needs arise


You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

  • 7+ years of experience in operations, consulting or technology roles (financial services, Insurance, workplace and B2B2C market experience, strong plus)
  • Outstanding critical thinking, analytical and project management experience
  • Agile, self-starter with excellent time management skills and the ability to meet multiple project deadlines while navigating the ambiguity of a dynamic work environment
  • Ability to translate complex ideas and frameworks into visually appealing, simplified views to be communicated both vertically and horizontally across the organization
  • Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Collaborative work style / leadership presence with ability to effectively interact and earn the trust of colleagues and senior management across the organization
