NYL Investors LLC, an integrated asset management enterprise with over $250 billion in assets under management is currently seeking a Data Governance Senior Associate responsible for supporting the use of data management framework for the investment data warehouse. Support data consumers to drive data quality across the stakeholders of the Investment Data Warehouse, including accounting, finance, and investments. Individual plays a critical role by connecting data, technology, processes, and controls.

 

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee the Data Governance Strategy across the Investment organization.
  • Maintain the Business Glossary and understand the data flow lineage and usage.
  • Drive decision making to get to the ‘Golden Copy’ or ‘Single Version of the Truth’.
  • Establish and manage Data Quality KPIs to measure the success of the data management program
  • Ensure testing standards and documentation are adequate and complete
  • Participate in release meetings to ensure the proper protocol is followed
  • Ensure adequate controls are in place
  • Create, review and revise Data Governance related procedures
  • Prepare and lead Bi-weekly Data Governance Council Meetings, prepare material and lead Quarterly Steering Committee discussions, as well as Semi-Annual Executive Steering Committee Meeting
  • Stay involved and up to date with the industry’s best practices in the space of Data Governance and Data Management to advise on process / methodology improvements

 

Role Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance (preferred)
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in Data Governance / Data Management for a Financial Institution, with minimum of 2-year experience in Fixed Income, Equities and Derivatives
  • Highly organized individual with exceptional attention to detail, strong sense of accountability and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated experience in requirement gathering and conducting data analysis / gap analysis in tandem with Data Owners and other stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills: both written and oral with technical and non-technical staff
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills; including interpersonal, teamwork and client service skills
  • Familiarity with data warehouse is required; strong system skills is preferred: CORIC, Crystal Reports, Eagle Access, PACE or Tableau

Salary range: $120,000 - $150,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
