Derivatives Middle Office and Operations Associate
Location Designation: Hybrid - 4 days per week
The Derivative Middle Office and Operations Associate is responsible for supporting derivative trade confirmation, payment processing, and collateral management. This role requires frequent interaction with the Office of the Chief Investment Officer, Counterparties, Legal, Traders, and the Controllers Department. This person will also be involved and take the lead in projects related to derivatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Communicate and confirm trade details with front office and external parties
- Perform and review functions of collateral management
- Coordinate payments with external parties and resolve discrepancies
- Perform and review asset reconciliation related to derivative trades
- Test, provide input and feedback on system enhancements
- Stay apprised of industry regulations that can potentially affect the firm. Take part in its implementation and planning.
- Participate in departmental and interdepartmental projects
What You’ll Bring:
- BA/BS in Business Administration with Finance concentration preferred
- 3+ years in Derivatives experience in an Insurance company or Investment Management firm is sought after
- Familiarity with derivative regulation related to Dodd-Frank and Uncleared Margin is preferred
- Advanced PC skills should include: Excel, Word, Access. Experience with Aladdin is a plus.
- Ability to create business specifications, test plans and implement changes to processes with
- Technology is desired
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $75,000 - $100,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
