We are looking for an accomplished marketer who can build and lead the performance marketing function for New York Life Investments (NYLIM).  This is a HYBRID opportunity. 

 

As the head of Performance Marketing, you will develop and scale the performance marketing strategy to help achieve our business goals, test to find the best ways to drive engagement, and deliver growth across channels. You will be responsible for a team that develops, manages, and executes marketing campaigns that acquire, nurture and service customers. This role oversees a key marketing function and requires a strong leader with previous experience not only managing a team but also influencing an organization. 

 

Essential Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities):

  • Set the vision, build, and lead the Performance Marketing function for New York Life Investments
  • Help drive and execute brand, acquisition and retention campaign strategies across offline and online channels including search, display, social, mobile, email, direct mail, and other channels
  • Lead the partnership with the Brand, Digital, Product/Segment Marketing and Value Add teams to develop and align campaigns to the customer journey based on segment, stages, and buyer personas
  • Establish and continue to evaluate and scale best practices, KPIs, and metrics
  • Continually optimize each stage of the funnel and pipeline to increase conversion and/or leads
  • Guide creative, incrementality, and spend scaling tests to identify what works best
  • Oversee all email execution
  • Proactively improve overall campaign processes and identify new opportunities to test, measure, and scale new channels, working closely with the Digital and Operations teams
  • Work with the Analytics team to develop and continue to improve campaign reporting and dashboards
  • Stay current on marketing, media, technology, and industry trends and requirements to continue to innovate and find ways to drive improvement and optimization of campaigns and programs


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required with a major in Marketing, Communications. or applicable field
  • Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in growth marketing, acquisition/performance marketing, or account-based marketing campaigns.
  • Direct experience scaling digital performance and impact through successful and innovative approaches
  • Experienced people leader
  • Ability to think analytically with a data-driven approach
  • Proven ability to build programs from scratch
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to partner across an organization
  • Tech-savvy and up to date on all marketing and digital tools, platforms, and best practices
  • Strong working knowledge to confidently lead technical conversations that include ad servers, tagging, conversion tracking, and audience segmentation
  • Exceptional written and communication skills with the ability to speak effectively to senior leadership and internal/external stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Evangelist of test and learn mentality
  • Action-oriented with the capability to manage and prioritize deadlines and requests
  • Self-starter with ability to solve ambiguous/open-ended business challenges and act as an advocate for change
  • Strong relationship management and team-oriented skills to lead and influence others in a cross-functional environment
