Senior Internal Consultant - Retail Annuities Strategy

 

The individual in this role will be a key member of the Retail Annuities Strategy team, which works closely with senior management to define and articulate business strategy, research and explore growth and efficiency opportunities for the business, and support oversight and execution of strategic initiatives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the annual strategic planning process for Retail Annuities, including business planning, initiative governance, management of key cross-functional projects, and communication of progress and results to senior leadership
  • Research and analyze internal and external business drivers to uncover insights, build cases, and develop and test new initiatives that support business objectives
  • Help define business strategy and articulate it by developing and presenting high quality materials for senior audiences
  • Conduct comprehensive research on competitors and the broader annuity/ retirement industry and develop and communicate unique perspectives on emerging trends
  • Engage in ad-hoc strategy and research projects identified by the group or senior management

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 3+ years of experience in roles requiring in-depth research and analysis, leading complex cross-functional initiatives, and building presentations for senior management
  • Desired backgrounds include strategy, management consulting, or business development
  • Very strong analytical, communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and project and process management skills required
  • Experience in financial services preferred, annuity and/or retirement industry knowledge a plus
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and multi-task; must be very organized and have excellent follow-up and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills required
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
