We are seeking a highly evolved Exchange Traded Fund investment sales professional proficient in the investment exposures the vehicles provide and the intricacies of the structure itself. Additionally, we are looking for significant experience and relationships with Institutional Investors and top RIA’s nationwide. Prospective profiles may include:

    • An accomplished ETF sales professional who is calling on multiple opportunity sets including Platforms, Financial Supermarkets (Schwab, Fidelity etc.), Private Banks, RIA’s, and Family Offices, who may want to extend coverage to the institutional spaces.
    • A dedicated Institutional focused ETF sales professional who is intrigued with picking up coverage responsibility for sophisticated RIA’s while also leveraging their existing relationships.
    • A professional from the ETF Market Making side, who has strong relationships and connectivity, and who may want to return to their asset management roots and/or can demonstrate the ability to make the transition to the investment side.
    • Bachelor’s degree and other credentials (MBA, CFA, CIMA) preferred


The Head of Institutional ETF Business Development will be responsible for providing dedicated coverage and expertise with Institutional and Large RIA investors nationwide to drive greater penetration and asset flows for IndexIQ, a boutique asset manager within New York Life Investment Management.


Specific responsibilities include:


  • Driving visibility, education, awareness and asset flow for IndexIQ’s suite of strategies within the Institutional and Large Registered Investment Advisor and Private Bank community throughout the territory. This may also include Wealth Managers, Asset Allocators, Wealth Management Platforms, and regional Bank Trusts.
  • Engage with pensions, endowments, foundations and other institutional managers to drive consideration for ETFs in general and the strategies offered by IndexIQ.
  • Prospect directly into sophisticated independent RIA’s ($1Billion AUM+) and Private Banking teams.
  • Continually message up on all matters related to activity, marketplace reception, and market intelligence.
  • Deliver impactful information, industry knowledge, conceptual sales ideas and product applications.
  • Operating with a high level of professionalism and accountability, along with providing quality service and sales assistance, and consistent goal attainment.
  • Frequent interface with sales team members covering other channels.
