NYL Investors is looking to add a Director to its fixed income team focusing on Money Market & Liquid Products trading and portfolio management. The position will be part of a Sector Specialist team that identifies and executes opportunities based on relative value analysis, client portfolio requirements, and/or investment guidelines and manages transaction execution, securities valuation, and internal and external relationships.

 

Responsibilities:

The position will be embedded within the Sector Specialist team that is focused on trading and managing money markets, liquid products and structured products including MBS and ABS.   The team currently helps manage over $70 billion in AUM.   The candidate will have a primary focus on money markets but will be expected to work closely with other sector specialists across various asset classes.  The candidate will be expected to provide market insight on a regular basis and work with in-house credit and origination teams in the evaluation of securities and investment portfolios. 

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of money market & liquid product trading and management experience with a focus on trading and execution.  The candidate should have experience performing and/or supervising relative value analysis, security selection and valuation, and the acquisition and divestiture of securities in the secondary markets. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and exhibit the flexibility to accomplish a variety of tasks.   A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a preference for an MBA or CFA, along with experience with one or more of Intex, Bloomberg, and Blackrock Solutions. A strong background in investment management is required along with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
