Role Summary:

The Director of Web Evolution Experiences leads the creation of new and innovative digital solutions for NYL.com. This role is responsible for managing the delivery of future website enhancements into the digital ecosystem and leading our onsite test & learn strategy to identify opportunities to improve business results. The ideal candidate is experienced in creating product roadmaps, leading project initiatives, and collaborating with key stakeholders to flawlessly deliver digital experiences that create business value.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

  • Manages team of digital web managers and works with a cross-functional team of UX, UI, SEO/Content, enablement, and other key stakeholders to deliver new component / technical optimizations
  • Partner with digital leaders across the team to identify opportunities to enhance site functionality / integration and prioritize requests based upon business value
  • Create and deliver presentations for key stakeholders (including executives) on project progress and product enhancements
  • Define intake / delivery process for new project requests leveraging digital toolset (e.g., asana, figma, zeplin)

 

Product Development & Delivery

  • Anticipates changes within the digital market, regulatory, and insurance industry, and recommend solutions / enhancements for future technical / web optimizations
  • Partners with key stakeholders to understand business strategies and design product / testing roadmaps that help meet key business goals
  • Ensure future roadmap aligns with KPIs to understand how digital investment creates business value
  • Work with enablement and digital partners to prioritize roadmap / development based upon business value
  • Lead projects with internal / external resources and develop cross-functional project plans to deliver results
  • Solve complex challenges with innovative solutions by leveraging industry, market, and technical insights
  • Lead discovery sessions to gather product requirements and ensure final deliverables align to business value
  • Provide actionable feedback and recommendations that drive strategic initiatives and issue resolution

 

Analytics and Measurement

  • Work with internal performance analytics team to report on key insights that inform digital enhancements / testing strategies
  • Partner with internal / external teams to develop, conduct and assess online user tests to identify future enhancement opportunities
  • Lead internal / external stakeholders to develop, conduct, and assess onsite testing strategies (AB, Multivariate, and targeted experiences)

 

Basic Requirements:

  • 8+ years of work experience with 2+ years of experience leading teams and building consumer facing digital products
  • Specialized depth of knowledge and/or breadth of experience with web product management (UX, UI, Content / SEO, HTML, coding principles, testing methodologies, etc.) 
  • Experience with managing multiple projects in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
  • Solves unique and complex problems; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions
  • Skilled at using data, research, and consumer insights to make strategic decisions 
  • Demonstrates leadership with a team first mentality and the ability to build cross-functional relationships
  • Strong presentation and communication skills. Ability to communicate complex ideas with others (all levels) and influence audience to align to a single strategic point of view.
  • Experience with Adobe Target, AEM, Jira, and Asana is a plus
