Reporting to the Vice President of the DE&I Center, the Associate will serve as the ERG Program manager for one Employee Resource group and provide administrative support for all DE&I Center programming. This is a hybrid role with the expections of working from home on Mon & Fri and being in the office on Tues, Weds and Thurs.
General Profile:
This position supports the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Center (DE&I Center)
Responsibilities include:
- Serve as the program manager for at least one (1) of the Company’s seven (7) Employee Resource Groups (ERG) and liaison between the DE&I Center and the ERG, including:
- Providing strategic direction and guidance to the ERG
- Meeting regularly with ERG co-chairs, attending ERG leadership meeting and providing DE&I support
- Reviewing ERG content for events, newsletters, emails, and surveys
- Ensuring alignment with DE&I Center mission, make recommendations, and raise issues as appropriate
- Handle administration of all DE&I Center programming
- Coordinate contracts and speakers with legal, communications, and ERG Leads
- Event planning – work with DE&I colleagues to determine requirements, conference centers to secure dates, learning operations partners to create registration links, monitor enrollment and handle other administrative tasks associated with all DE&I Center events
- Manage the DE&I Center inbox and mailing list(s), including ongoing daily review of emails, ensuring timely responses to all inquiries, and handling distribution of DE&I communications to designated mailing lists
- Maintaining DE&I calendar for upcoming events, including helping to manage scheduling to minimize overlap or conflicts with other HR Learning or company events
- Maintaining ERG Handbook and update as needed
- Coordinate and schedule monthly development offering
- Assist with the ongoing activity related to Coming Together, New York Life’s courageous conversations program, particularly for ERG partnered programs
- Handle additional projects and assignments as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years work experience, including work in diversity & inclusion
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines
- Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Sound judgment, strong problem solving and decision-making skills, and high ethical standards
- Ability to influence without authority

Salary range: $58,500-$85,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
