The HR Onboarding Senior Specialist is responsible for handling all steps necessary for bringing on a new hire after the individual has accepted the offer through the first day of work, including background checks, pre-hire fingerprinting, notifying candidate post clearance, processing pre-hire verifications, answering candidate questions, processing I-9s and delivering New Hire Orientation upon arrival.  This team member will provide daily updates to managers, candidates, and recruiters, and use various HR systems to ensure proper onboarding and accurate flow of data.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in an appropriate manner is critical.

 

 Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Running background checks and pre-hire fingerprinting and tracking results for new hires
  • Providing daily updates to managers, candidates, and recruiters
  • Communicating with various sources regarding missing and/or additional information needed
  • Working with the Employee Relations team on any escalations
  • Coordinating start dates changes with recruiters, data management, and payroll
  • Delivering New Hire Orientation
  • Working on ad hoc assignments and/or projects as requested

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; HR-related degree preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – in person, phone, and email
  • Must enjoy communicating with and assisting others
  • Strong relationship building and presentation skills
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills; knows when to escalate issues
  • Comfortable working in a team environment but also able to operate independently
  • Solid proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

 

 

Salary range: $45,000-$55,000 

Overtime eligible: Nonexempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
