Location: This is a hybrid position (in office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) that requires you to be located within a commutable distance (approximately 50 miles) of the designated office location.  Possible locations include New York Home Office or Cleveland, Dallas, Tampa or New York Service Centers.

 

Head of Digital Strategy and Planning, Digital Service 

The Head of Digital Strategy and Planning will work both strategically and tactically with the Head of Digital Service and the Digital Service Senior Leadership Team to enable and support the achievement of business goals and key strategic initiatives. This role requires excellent decision-making ability, superior organizational knowledge, ability to establish strong relationships across the company, and a comfort in working with senior management to execute on the delivery of both day-to-day priorities and longer-term goals and projects. 

Reporting to the Head of Digital Service, The Head of Digital Strategy and Planning will manage diverse responsibilities including: 

  • Support Digital Service Leadership and Service leadership in developing long term strategic roadmap; ensuring work is accurately reflected across Value Streams 
  • Represent Digital Service  with key stakeholders across the NYL organization to ensure the successful implementation of strategy via the following methods: 
  • Intake: Manage/optimize prioritization processes by engaging primarily with Product Managers, Product Owners and Technology stakeholders  
  • Performance: Oversee performance of Digital Service initiatives working closely with Digital Support and product management stakeholders, including the development of projections,  periodic monitoring of key performance indicators and the reporting of results to senior management ; focus is on results and trends, not day-to-day operations 
  • Transition: Manage the Digital Service strategy focused on bringing personalized and proactive service to our clients by designing experiences for agents, clients and Service Professionals, and transitioning away from legacy applications as new platforms are implemented 
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Digital Service team, including: 
  • Serve as central point for Digital-Service-wide requests, supporting Product Management teams as they execute on Digital Service roadmap 
  • Work with Tech to assess Service technology financials with a heavy focus on annual forecasting and burn rate, and take steps to ensure adherence to budget 
  • Administer Service technology roadmap tool (Roadmunk) to ensure senior management and technology stakeholder visibility into long-term roadmaps across Service 
  • Develop agendas and facilitate meetings (e.g., weekly Senior Leadership Team, quarterly full-staff meetings, annual offsite, etc.) 
  • Deliver ad hoc requests as needed to support special projects 
  • Be an ambassador for Digital across Service and Org as a whole - ensuring transparency and strategic alignment with our Service and Technology partners – while ensuring our plans and vision are well socialized to help connect the dots across the organization 
  • Lead annual planning efforts  to ensure alignment with long-term Digital Service strategy and budgetary targets; deliverables include feature- and project-level cost-benefit analysis, roadmaps, prioritization matrix and more  
  • Work closely with the Service Planning team to develop communication plans and provide content for various vehicles such as corporate intranet, emails and talking points 
  • Prepare executive reports and presentations for a variety of audiences/constituents 

 

 

Salary range: $105,000-$160,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
