Learning & Development Program Manager

Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week

Senior Associate – L&D Program Manager

We’re looking for a dynamic and highly organized Learning & Development Program Manager to drive the design, delivery, and execution of New York Life’s Leadership Development initiatives. You’ll orchestrate complex programs, partner with top-tier vendors and internal stakeholders, and ensure our leadership offerings set the industry standard.

The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution — someone who can translate big ideas into actionable plans, build strong partnerships across Talent Management and HR, and manage complex projects with precision and creativity. You’re intellectually curious, especially about how AI and emerging technologies can enhance leadership and learning at scale.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and deliver best-in-class leadership development programs that align with business and talent strategies.
  • Serve as the primary program manager, coordinating all aspects from concept to delivery — including vendor management, communications, logistics, and evaluation.
  • Manage the end-to-end program lifecycle, ensuring excellence in scheduling, execution, and participant experience.
  • Partner across internal teams and external providers to ensure alignment with New York Life’s leadership culture and strategic priorities.
  • Leverage data, insights, and AI-enabled tools to assess learning impact, personalize development experiences, and drive innovation.
  • Collect and analyze participant and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve offerings and demonstrate measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with senior Talent Management leaders to anticipate emerging leadership needs and evolve our leadership development strategy accordingly.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships across Talent, HRBPs, and business leaders to ensure learning solutions are relevant, integrated, and impactful.
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, maintaining focus on quality, communication, and results.
  • Track and report on key metrics to support data-driven storytelling around program outcomes and business impact.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5–8 years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Management, or related HR functions.
  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs with precision and creativity.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; able to juggle priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills; comfortable engaging with senior leaders and external partners.
  • A problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity and drives clarity and progress.
  • Experience in executive or leadership development strongly preferred.
  • Curiosity and openness to innovation and AI-driven learning approaches; experience leveraging technology in learning design a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s in Organizational Development, HR, or related field preferred.

What Sets You Apart

  • You thrive at the intersection of strategy and execution, taking ownership and driving results independently while fostering collaboration.
  • You are passionate about leadership and learning, bringing creativity, rigor, and a growth mindset to everything you do.
  • You are curious about innovation and the power of AI to transform how we work and learn, actively exploring new ideas and technologies to elevate performance and impact.
  • You excel in fast-paced environments and adapt quickly as priorities evolve.
