The Marketing Data Enablement Practice is seeking to add a Manager specializing in Data Management. This role will be accountable for understanding business strategy to define use cases and data required to activate digital experiences across multiple channels and touchpoints. This role will help evolve our data governance footprint by ensuring data being delivered is activated and used as intended by forming trusting and lasting partnerships across Marketing and broader enterprise (legal, compliance, data, security, and technology).

Key Responsibilities

•    Stakeholder needs assessment and requirements: partner with stakeholders within Marketing and the organization to understand and refine goals, vision, strategy, scope, use cases, and experience. Identify, socialize, and prioritize data requirements with relevant stakeholders within marketing and enterprise
•    Data activation governance: partnering closely with platform product owners, establish a framework to help govern how we use data to activate campaigns or inform marketing recommendations 
•    Data analysis: drive data analysis working closely with enterprise partners and marketers to either inform a key business decision or to certify data usage inside Marketing platforms. Expected to take on hands-on role performing data analysis which could include creating data inventory and data flow maps across marketing applications.
•    Leverage enterprise-wide master data management and governance standards: partner with enterprise data teams to define and manage data glossaries including definitions, validation rules, formats, and sources to support the logical and physical data models.
•    Prioritized backlog, grooming, user story definition and Agile support: either individually, or in partnership with Product Managers and/or stakeholders, create, maintain, and prioritize a well-defined backlog with requirements for product features which can be easily understood by our Technology team. Proven ability to translate that plan into feature and user story development that spans multiple agile program increments. Attend agile ceremonies including daily standups, planning, and retrospectives, working in partnership with technology teams on execution.
•    Project execution and leadership: lead, collaborate with, and motivate a cross-functional team to build, execute and release features in alignment with digital roadmaps. In partnership with the scrum master, drive, negotiate, and prioritize in-sprint activities and problem solve to mitigate risks to meet business commitments by staying on-schedule and within budget. Provide leadership when important decisions are needed and accountable for managing stakeholder expectations and validating work effort and sequence of activities is appropriately reflected in project plans.
•    Testing and deployment: Reviewing test plans in partnership with our business user acceptance testing teams and technology teams to ensure quality deliverable to our users. Support business user acceptance testing by helping to create test plans and cases to reflect requirements which demonstrate a deliverable meets quality standard and is ready for field and customer use.

•    Detailed oriented data analyst with ability to understand how the Marketing Plan is supported by a holistic data program that informs marketing recommendations and optimizes campaigns based on learnings.
•    Can drive consensus when working with a variety of stakeholders to define and prioritize data needs that drive business impact 
•    Process-oriented problem solver, ability to manage multiple initiatives and balance the need to work strategically and hands-on
•    Strong verbal and written communications combined with technical and data acumen
•    Self-starter, comfortable with navigating ambiguity, and passionate about driving change
•    Strong negotiating and consulting skills
•    High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
•    Ability to manage stakeholder engagement and appropriately set expectations


•    Bachelor’s Degree
•    5+ years of relevant experience
•    Experience with Agile/Scrum/SAFe
•    Experience as a data analyst in the finance industry preferred (experience in Life Insurance highly preferred)
•    Knowledge of Marketing technologies, experience with Adobe Marketing Suite highly preferred 
•    Prior experience in implementing enterprise scale preference management solution a plus
•    Prior experience in Data Management discipline a plus
•    Prior experience in Marketing Automation experience a plus
