The Marketing Operations Process and Product Manager is accountable for optimizing Marketing efforts by maximizing value from marketing operations technology and data investments, and engineering, operationalizing, and governing core Marketing processes.  This role manages Marketing Operations Platforms, this includes Marketing Resource Management (MRM) and Content Management (DAM) and is accountable for managing a team of Product Owners responsible for managing a sequenced roadmap, prioritized backlog, and delivery of marketing capabilities to enable efficiencies in the content creation life-cycle. 

Key Responsibilities
•    Responsible for marketing process engineering, specific platform implementations, platform utilization, and business readiness to operationalize Marketing’s technology and data investments to modernize marketing capabilities.
•    Oversees marketing process management efforts, including the design and implementation of marketing operational processes to measure operational performance, investment effectiveness, and identify opportunities for efficiencies /automation.
•    Gathers and uses internal and external marketing best practices and stakeholder feedback to inform process definition for how to connect data, digital, content, and technology.
•    Supports training and change management to support adoption and ensure business readiness for new platforms, processes, and enhancements to existing marketing technologies.   Collaborates actively with marketing product managers, product owners, and stakeholders to create and document well laid out plans, procedures, training materials and process maps where appropriate to train marketing users and stakeholders.  
•    Produces, maintains, updates and regularly reviews process and platform documentation including procedures, work instructions, process maps, training materials, standard operating procedures, process blueprints, and documentation that defines operational standards. 
•    Manages a set of Product Owners responsible for the detailed roadmap, implementation and ongoing management/enhancements of enterprise, multi-tenant MarTech platforms; this includes Marketing Resource Management (MRM) and the Content Management (DAM).
•    Execution and management of content management protocols including library management, tagging, taxonomy, rights, expiration, classification, storage, retrieving, and distribution of assets.
•    Defines and maintains a documented, sequenced capability plan that demonstrates how investment in our Marketing Operations Eco-system is aligned with the organization’s Marketing Plan initiatives to fuel our agent field force’s productivity and drive client growth.  
•    Acts as a subject matter expert that represents the Enterprise Marketing Operations toolset as part of the overall marketing digital capability infrastructure for strategic planning, cross platform interoperability, and business process re-engineering.
•    Supports ongoing analysis of emerging and existing Marketing Operations platforms in the Martech landscape.   Partners with technology and supply chain to author RFPs and evaluate solutions and vendors to support platform selection.
•    Provides project leadership to manage a variety of large-scale projects related to the innovation and evolution of NYL’s content eco-system.  Leads, collaborates with, and motivates a cross functional team of project managers, stakeholders, technology and execution teams.


Skills & Competencies
•    Strong people management (employees and contractor/third party partner resources), including the ability to build high performing teams and work with diverse skill sets (technical and strategic)
•    Strong verbal and written communications, combined with technical acumen, understanding of leading marketing tools and platforms (specifically CMS, DAM, and Marketing Resource Management - MRM), and scaled agile 
•    System/process oriented, problem solver, ability to manage multiple initiatives and balance the need to work strategically and hands-on
•    Deep understanding of core marketing processes (Content Life-Cycle Management, Campaign Management, Content Management, Testing / Measurement / Reporting, etc.)
•    Demonstrates operational excellence, thorough understanding of data driven marketing, and ability to translate business objectives into operational requirements 
•    Ability to partner with Project Management Office, Marketing Data Management Team, and MarTech Product Owners to deliver and execute against the MarTech roadmap
•    Cross-functional and multi-phased, complex project management skills
•    Internal influencer and consulting skills 
•    Strong and proven ability to author presentation decks – focused on communicating and illustrating key executive insights and messages


•    7+ years of experience in senior operations roles; last 3+ years orchestrating leading class MarTech tools and platforms
•    5+ years of relevant leadership experience leading marketing and/or technology teams of at least 3 people
•    Experience must include managing large scale projects and responsible for budget administration and capacity planning for a large-scale organization
•    Experience must include Marketing Operations functional design and process re-engineering aimed at maximizing the company’s investment in Marketing technology
•    Strong knowledge of Marketing technologies, especially Adobe Marketing Suite, Aprimo MRM
•    Background in financial and budget allocation and management
