NYL is on a journey to modernize lead management and measurements ecosystem. These capabilities are highly data-driven and must work together to effectively meet and optimize our marketing objectives. The Marketing Data and Platform Enablement Practice is seeking to add a Senior Product Owner specializing in enabling these data driven capabilities.  This role will be responsible for partnering with stakeholders on prioritization and delivery of lead management and measurements capabilities. This includes working with stakeholders to identify opportunities across multiple solutions and teams, and ensuring alignment with Marketing’s strategy, business objectives, and measurement goals. The Senior Product Owner will lead, motivate, and collaborate with a cross-functional team to build, execute, and release features in alignment with Marketing’s strategic programs. This role will report to the Head of Data & Platform Enablement and have direct report(s).

Key Responsibilities
•    Stakeholder needs assessment and requirements: partner with stakeholders within Marketing and the organization to understand and refine goals, vision, strategy, scope, use cases for Lead Management and Measurements. Identify, socialize, and prioritize data and platform requirements with relevant stakeholders within marketing and enterprise
•    Prioritized backlog, grooming, user story definition and Agile support: accountable to create, maintain, and prioritize a well-defined backlog with requirements for product features which can be easily understood. Proven ability to translate plans into feature and user story development that spans multiple agile program increments. Attend agile ceremonies including daily standups, planning, and retrospectives, working in partnership with technology teams on execution.
•    Project execution and leadership: in partnership with peer stakeholders, drive, negotiate, and prioritize activities and problem solve to mitigate risks to meet business commitments by staying on-schedule and within budget. Lead, motivate, and collaborate with a cross-functional team of stakeholders, project managers, scrum masters, business analysts, developers, and testers to build, execute and release features in alignment with strategic programs and automation initiatives
•    Digital marketing leadership: Understand business strategy to be able to influence and connect to activation plans. Brings digital marketing subject matter expertise to business and technology teams. Leverages knowledge of best practices related to use and adoption of marketing technologies. Builds on this background with knowledge of New York Life platforms and roadmap and can plan for cross platform interoperability and use. 
•    Technology selection and vendor support: Occasionally partners with business, technology and procurement to review vendors in support of lead management and evaluate solutions. Collaborate with platform vendors to influence base product roadmaps to meet New York Life’s process needs and goals.
•    Mentoring and Developing Others: Proactively plans development and mentoring activities for direct reports and identifies opportunities for hands-on work that might enhance the growth of others and facilitate the process; frequently shares own experiences with direct reports and others for the purpose of improving their personal and professional development

•    Bachelor’s Degree
•    Minimum of 7-8 years of relevant experience with 3+ years specializing in enabling data-driven experiences
•    Experience with Agile/Scrum/SAFe
•    Demonstrated experience in strategic and analytical leadership
•    Demonstrated experience in implementing data-driven experiences
•    Demonstrated ability to motivate teams and individuals by prioritizing and leading continuous improvement
•    Experience as a data analyst in the finance industry preferred (experience in Life Insurance highly preferred)
•    Prior experience in documenting and implementing business processes 
•    Prior experience in Data Management discipline a plus
•    Prior experience in Lead Management / Generation a plus
•    Demonstrated experience as people leader who drove positive outcomes for the business while nurturing and growing team members
