Real Estate Investment, Associate
Location Designation: Hybrid - 4 days per week
The Investment Associate will play a key role in supporting commercial real estate debt and equity originators as well as equity asset managers. This individual will be actively involved in all aspects of the mortgage origination and equity acquisition process—including underwriting, research, due diligence, negotiations, deal structuring, and closing. Core responsibilities include financial modeling, investment analysis, and preparation of internal investment memoranda. The position also involves participation in client meetings, presentations to senior management, and property/market tours.

What You’ll Do:
- Support originators and asset managers in the underwriting and execution of commercial real estate debt and equity investments.
- Perform detailed financial modeling, valuation, and investment analysis using Argus and Microsoft Excel.
- Prepare comprehensive internal investment memoranda and presentation materials.
- Conduct market and property-level research and due diligence.
- Assist with transaction negotiations, structuring, and closings.
- Participate in property tours, internal meetings, and presentations to senior management.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering collaboration and communication across teams.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Real Estate with a strong academic record.
- Relevant coursework and internship or work experience in real estate investment or underwriting, ideally with an institutional investment firm, commercial lender, brokerage, or appraisal company.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Argus and advanced modeling skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of various commercial real estate asset classes, including office, retail, multifamily, industrial, and specialty properties.
- Understanding of diverse debt structures such as senior mortgages, mezzanine loans, subordinated debt, and preferred equity.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $90,000-$130,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
