Senior Associate: Marketing Communications and Distribution

This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

Eagle Strategies provides retail investment advisory services through about 1,250 affiliated investment advisor representatives (IARs) and more than $20B in assets under management (AUM). Eagle IARs provide comprehensive investment advisory and financial planning capabilities. Through our "protection first" planning philosophy and backed by solutions that leverage New York Life’s financial strength and mutuality, our advisors can tailor a plan to help their clients reach their long-term goals and withstand unforeseen fluctuations through insurance, annuities, brokerage (including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and specialty asset classes), and other products.

We are looking for a copy editor to join our marketing team as we expand and refine our communication efforts targeted to financial advisors and affluent clients.  The ideal candidate has a strong track record of copy editing and crafting email messaging focused on educating and informing audiences across a broad range of topics spanning financial planning, wealth management, investment solutions and capabilities, etc.    

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing the end-to-end editorial process for a weekly newsletter to advisors including crafting and copy-editing multiple messages, obtaining approvals from various stakeholders and Compliance as well as setting up and managing the distribution of the newsletter via our email platform
  • Copy edit emails from business areas such as webinar invitations, business updates, regulatory updates, training, etc.
  • Maintain and monitor master editorial calendar and timely update as necessary
  • Manage ongoing content updates and renewal processes across a robust library of marketing materials and content (e.g., thought leadership, brochures, flyers, fact sheets, charts, guides, etc.)
  • Work with external vendors to manage content update workflows and fulfilment
  • Collaborate with cross functional areas to ensure content is up-to-date and best reflects the current strategy
  • Support other activities in-flight as needed such as event planning, promotions, campaigns, etc.) to help advance business efforts

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with five years relevant copy editing and writing experience in financial services
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines
  • Excellent project management skills and results-oriented
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of marketing technology such as email platforms is helpful
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office

Salary range: $72,500-$107,500 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
