A $200bn asset manager is looking to add a seasoned professional to its Structured Finance team focusing on the asset backed and commercial mortgage-backed securitization markets. The Sector Specialist team is focused on identifying opportunities in the Structured Finance markets based on relative value analysis, client portfolio requirements, and/or investment guidelines and managing transaction execution, ongoing securities valuation, and relationships with commercial and investment banks and other financial intermediaries.

 

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will help generate new business by interacting with commercial and investment banks and other financial intermediaries to value and execute securitized financing opportunities in the ABS and CMBS markets. The candidate must be able to support the origination efforts of other team members by performing and/or supervising relative value analysis, security level base case and stress case cashflow projections, provide valuation of portfolio holdings, and acquire or divest bonds in the in the secondary markets. The individual will be expected to work closely with other sector specialists as well as in-house credit and origination teams in the evaluation of securities and investment portfolios. 

 

Qualifications:

The candidate will have 7+ years of ABS and/or CMBS management experience with a focus on trading and execution.  A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a preference for an MBA or CFA, along with experience with one or more of Intex, Bloomberg, and Blackrock Solutions. A strong background in securities valuation and relative value is a required along with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
