As part of the broader segment marketing team, this individual would be responsible for assisting with the creation and execution of marketing campaigns and initiatives of New York Life Investments Retail advisor channel.  Key responsibilities include assisting with the marketing strategy for specialized clients/financial advisor segments to help drive growth through the distribution of our marketing efforts: collateral materials, web content, brochures, direct mail, email campaigns, newsletters, event planning, and other sales tools and supporting content.


This role is responsible for the execution and measurement of marketing communications strategies and programs utilizing a variety of tactics to drive customer acquisition and retention of advisors. Typical campaigns include one or more of the following components: digital, web, direct mail, email, webcasts, social, and proprietary and 3rd party events.


General Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the execution of integrated marketing campaigns aligned with key client firms’ sales strategy & messaging
  • Measure KPIs and coordinate reporting of marketing campaigns
  • Help coordinate efforts for firm specific events/webcasts including but not limited to creation of invites, lists, follow up, presentations, dine-arounds etc. 
  • Oversee marketing material approval at client firms
  • Coordinate with business partners on creating and updating custom marketing materials
  • Work closely with key stakeholders such as compliance, creative design, analytics team, digital and email teams to ensure deliverables are met
  • Collaborate with marketing compliance on materials review to understand and negotiate copy revisions while maintaining creative integrity

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years minimum marketing related experience; investment experience preferred with advisor client
  • Strong project management skills and a deep understanding of web content and relationship marketing (direct mail and email)
  • Previous experience managing integrated marketing campaigns and using data to accurately measure results and identify opportunities to optimize future campaigns
  • Investment/financial knowledge/interest – ideally exchange traded funds, active mutual funds, and alternative investments
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment, drive key initiatives, manage projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Experience working for a brokerage, bank, investment manager, consultant, insurer, or pensions/endowment a big plus
  • Must have strong writing skills and editing skills
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines at once.
  • Knowledge of and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of Eloqua /Engage



Salary range: $72,500-$107,500 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
