The Channel and Field Marketing Manager is responsible for the creation and execution of action-oriented marketing campaigns directed towards New York Life Career Agents.  The focus of these campaigns will be to educate our Agents on the retirement market and our annuity solutions, grow/strengthen our producer base, help Agents to have more productive conversations about retirement, and increase sales of our strategic products. 

 

This fast-paced role comes with significant exposure to Sales and management.  The successful candidate will have a proven ability to create compelling sales presentations, an eye for quality, and a demonstrated comfort managing tight deadlines.

 

 

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Partner with Analytics to identify target segments that guide the development of outcome-oriented marketing programs to promote RA products and grow/strengthen our producer base
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to frame and deploy tactics and supporting material to educate Agents and their clients about retirement and annuities
  • Proactively partner with Sales to develop material that ensures our products are represented in a compelling manner at various corporate events (Kickoff/GID, Council meetings, wholesaler meetings, national webinars, and monthly Sales team calls); Promote availability of material as needed
  • Frame marketing/promotional messages, identify touchpoints, and manage placement to maximize visibility of our products, services, and programs to our Agents
  • Monitor core business metrics and proactively make outreach/campaign recommendations to management and Sales
  • Facilitate recurring planning meetings with Sales, focusing discussion topics to increase alignment with strategic business objectives
  • Partner with product marketing managers to ensure that marketing messages are optimized for use by Sales teams and that core marketing material is aligned with Sales team needs

 

 

Candidate requirements:

  • 7+ years of related work experience (for example: financial services, insurance, brokerage, banks)
  • Knowledge of annuities (accumulation and income)
  • Demonstrated understanding of a career agency system
  • Experience developing B2B marketing campaigns or sales training material (segment marketing experience is a plus)
  • High comfort level collaborating with Sales teams
  • Proven ability to turn high level concepts into tangible sales enablement material
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)
  • Exemplary project management skills
  • Ability to “think on your feet” and creatively solve problems
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
