As a Senior Associate, Consumer and Field Research, you will help the Consumer Insights practice deliver insights, data, and strategic thought leadership across the organization. The successful candidate will structure, manage, and execute primary research projects, and will develop and deliver key insights about consumer needs, preferences, and behaviors. The Senior Associate will be a key individual contributor on a high-impact team, and will collaborate with colleagues across NYL’s Foundational Business.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with colleagues across NYL to understand business challenges and design primary research studies that inform business decisions and drive results.
- Independently structure and execute research projects that address core demographic, behavioral, and psychographic questions in our business and industry. Ensure delivery in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Partner with research agencies and colleagues across the organization to analyze and contextualize research findings; deliver focused insights and recommendations that drive business results.
- Program and execute client surveys using Qualtrics platform; analyze results and deliver recommendations.
- Structure, manage, and moderate qualitative research with Agents and other internal parties.
- Build and maintain a strong network of external research agencies and suppliers.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing / market research, psychology or sociology preferred; and/or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience
- Experience with both qualitative and quantitative research methods; strong analytical abilities
- Passion for understanding consumer behavior and infusing the voice of the consumer into interactions with business partners
- Curious professional able to adapt to shifting priorities and our evolving organization
- Creative and deductive thinker with the ability to synthesize key insights from multiple sources
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience programming, fielding, and analyzing survey data via Qualtrics platform preferred
- Experience moderating focus groups and conducting individual interviews preferred

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $110,000 - $135,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
