New York Life is hiring a Senior Associate, Cross Channel Operations Research Analyst to support data analytics, cross-functional research, analysis and overall operations for the Cross-Channel Operations leader and other leaders within the department.


The ideal candidate will have a data management skill set and have a flexible work style to support a variety of operations functions.


Role Description:


Functional responsibilities:

  • Execute analyses and reporting for operational functions (i.e., maintain program dashboards to measure activity, adoption rates, employee engagement, gathering and synthesizing relevant data for operational requirements, etc.)
  • Measure in-market activity to identify trends and variances
  • Provide hands-on, analytical support and help to develop actionable insights for team leadership
  • Partner to support vendor data (e.g., CSV, API) necessary to conduct outcomes measurement and client, service level agreements and/or issues resolution
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to provide industry research on strategic initiatives and operation requirements to support critical hypotheses and strategic proposals


Leadership support:

  • Partner with team to ensure all data/measurement needs are met
  • Assist in workflow and tactical processes working closely with internal business area contacts and external vendors
  • Support the department and outside research vendor(s) and consultants to manage all research requests
  • Provide support to quickly turnaround ad-hoc requests; projects as needs arise
  • Work on a small, high-performing team with extensive day-to-day contact with leaders and stakeholders across the organization


You are a strong fit for this role if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience in operations, consulting or data management roles (financial services, Insurance, workplace and B2B2C market experience, strong plus)
  • Outstanding analytical thinking and project management experience
  • Growth mindset/willingness to evolve current skillset and learn new data visualization and reporting techniques to support the evolution of the team’s needs and market expectations
  • Agile, self-starter with strong work ethic and the ability to work on multiple projects in a dynamic work environment
  • Collaborative work style / leadership presence with ability to effectively interact and earn the trust of colleagues and senior management across the organization
