The individual in this position will be responsible for maintaining the Data Governance Management framework for the PACE Investment Data Warehouse used by NYL Investors, Controllers and Information Technology.  The candidate for this role must have strong organizational skills, an analytical orientation, and be able to communicate effectively with business, operations and technology staff.  This individual will maintain a strong foundation for managing data while ensuring it is accessible, accurate, timely, and disseminated in a controlled manner.



  • Oversee  the Data Governance Strategy across the Investment organization.
  • Maintain the data dictionary and understand the data flow lineage and usage.
  • Drive decision making to get to the ‘Golden Copy’ or ‘Single Version of the Truth’.
  • Establish and manage data metrics to measure the success of the data management program.
  • Ensure testing standards and documentation are adequate and complete.
  • Participate in release meetings to ensure the proper protocol has been followed.
  • Ensure adequate controls are in place to safeguard data assets.
  • Chair the Data Governance Council and Steering Committee meetings and drive the agenda.
  • Remain abreast of industry best practices and educate the council members.



  • Education Level: BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance concentration preferred.
  • Industry Experience: 5+ years securities industry experience.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience overseeing a Data Governance program and an in-depth knowledge of Fixed Income and Equity products is required.    
  • Technical Skills: Advanced PC Skills: Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, Crystal Reports, and Business Objects.
