Position Summary:

Wealth Management Solutions is part of the Foundational Business and consists of Eagle Strategies, a registered investment adviser which provides retail investment advisory services through our 1,250 affiliated investment advisors, and NYLIFE Securities, a registered broker-dealer which provides brokerage services to retail investors through our 6,000 affiliated registered representatives.

As a key member of the Wealth Management Finance team, the financial analyst will be responsible for supporting financial planning and analysis processes.  The role will include translating financial data into actionable insights for business leadership through management reporting, developing financial forecasts, and enhancing financial analytics. The role also includes supporting Wealth Management data foundations and other strategic business initiatives as we develop new capabilities and services while continuing to modernize existing infrastructure. Over time, there will be considerable opportunity to grow and take on additional responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner across the Foundational Business teams including Eagle Strategies, NYLIFE Securities, Agency, Technology, and Finance to produce monthly / quarterly reporting and analysis around strategic metrics and financial performance
  • Support annual and multiyear planning process, including scenario analysis and layering in the potential impact of strategic initiatives
  • Understand business problems and opportunities and develop financial analysis to arrive at recommendations
  • Interpret existing financial data to identify trends and support strategic discussions across businesses
  • Work closely on implementation of Wealth Management data foundations project, including collaborating across multiple departments on business data and reporting requirements
  • Promote continuous improvement opportunities by identifying and driving process efficiencies

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Understanding of insurance company’s products, financials and operations
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite (Excel and Powerpoint), SAP and Tableau
  • Demonstrated track record of teamwork and collaboration in matrix organization
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a high volume, deadline-oriented environment
  • Broker-dealer, RIA, or wealth management experience a plus
  • Experience with Workiva WDesk and Anaplan a plus
