New York Life’s primary distribution channel is the career Agency sales force of more than 12,000 agents, operating in virtually every major city in the United States.  Every agent is affiliated with one of our 117 General Offices. These offices are operated by Agency management teams responsible for agent and management recruiting, development, and sales.  Approximately half our agents operate their businesses out of our General Offices, while the other half maintains independent office locations. 


Our General Offices are divided up among four Zones. In addition to our Zone offices, an Agency Home Office team responsible for strategy, finance, administration, standards, training, marketing and communications supports our agents and field managers.  The Agency operation also comprises teams charged with growing our business in key market segments, including the middle-income market, the advanced (high-net-worth) market, select cultural markets, and the women’s markets. Agents sell individual life insurance, individual annuities, and long-term care insurance products, as well as mutual funds.


This role sits within Eagle Strategies, a wholly-owned subsidiary of New York Life and is based in New York. The ideal candidate will be adept at working across a variety of digital platforms and marketing disciplines.  This candidate will also be responsible for managing Eagle’s content library and managing the approval processes for all content and communications. 


Role Overview

  • Work across Eagle Strategies business lines and NYL business to ensure their messaging is appropriately positioned as it relates to our products, services commitment to our clients, corporate values, and is compliant.
  • Write and edit advisor-facing communications covering wealth management topics to drive awareness, engagement and adoption.
  • Develop presentations for senior leaders.
  • Manage the day-to-day planning and execution of communications targeting financial advisors and their clients, including scheduling and distributing communication via Eloqua email platform.
  • Ensures accuracy, clarity of communications as well as consistency and alignment with key business and marketing objectives.
  • Introduce industry best practices and recommendations to enhance communications program may include but are not limited to newsletters, web-based content.
  • Write website copy for internal and public-facing websites.
  • Support digital efforts, website maintenance and routine updates
  • Maintain the communications editorial calendar and work with all Eagle business partners to manage expectations set.
  • Project manage Eagle Strategies annual top producers’ event.



  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Marketing, Communications or English a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working in the financial services industry either with an RIA or investment management firm.  Prior experience working with financial advisors are a plus.  
  • Excellent writing and editing skills within the financial services industry.
  • Ability to create (both written and designed) content that is targeted toward the affluent market.
  • Working knowledge of Eloqua or similar email marketing platform.
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Ability to think critically about opportunities and execute. 
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks/projects while meeting tight deadlines.
