Senior Associate, Product Development & Management
Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week
Role Overview:
The Retail Annuities Business is seeking to hire a Senior Associate for the Product Management team who will support product development and management efforts across several product lines (with a focus on Variable Annuities & Guaranteed Income Annuities). The Senior Associate will also conduct research on existing products and the distribution landscape of annuity solutions. They will support cross-functional initiatives and ensure our offerings remain competitive, consumer-focused and aligned with the company’s mission and profitability goals. This position will report to the Guaranteed Income Annuity & Variable Annuity Product Manager.
What You’ll Do:
• Lead highly analytical product initiatives and projects
• Contribute to and support initiatives that bring products through the end-to-end product development lifecycle – from concept and market research to business case development, platform specifications, implementation and launch.
• Support in steering cross-functional resources in a collaborative way to meet business objectives.
• Support in educating and training our sales specialists about new product ideas and sales concepts.
• Support in driving product approval/on-boarding and business development opportunities with strategic third-party firms.
• Prepare written summaries for senior management covering new product ideas, project status updates and developments within the annuity marketplace.
• Research competitor’s income generating products issued in the insurance and asset management industries.
• Complete competition research projects as warranted by developments/conditions. Track competitor events, including monitoring new product and feature launches, as well as corporate level news – alerting appropriate stakeholders as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
• Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience.
• 3-5+ years of professional work experience in financial services.
• Strong research, analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent communicator who can express ideas in writing and orally in an eloquent and engaging manner.
• Understanding of annuity product design, product positioning and distribution markets a plus.
• Experience using data and analytics to inform product decisions using tools such as Excel; familiarity with business case development desirable.
• Demonstrates high energy and a passion for work.

Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $79,000 - $113,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
