Senior Associate - Agile Coaching Lead - Operating Model Enablement
Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week
What You’ll Do
Enterprise Operating Model Design & Maturity Evolution
• Define, maintain, and evolve the NYL Agile/Product Operating Model to meet both foundational and advanced maturity needs.
• Oversee maturity assessments (Crawl–Walk–Run) for ARTs and Value Streams, ensuring targeted improvement roadmaps are established and executed.
• Embed continuous improvement into operating rhythms through retrospectives, health checks, and leadership coaching.
• Drive consistency in role clarity, governance, and ways of working across teams and Value Streams.
Leadership Coaching, Team Management & Capability Building
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 7–10 Agile Coaches, ensuring alignment, professional growth, and consistency in enterprise coaching standards.
• Guide coaches in tailoring approaches for different archetypes (product, enablement, legacy, and hybrid models) while maintaining model integrity.
• Lead enablement for key delivery roles—Delivery Leads, RTEs, Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Solution Leads, and Solution Architects—through targeted training, workshops, and coaching.
• Develop and scale Communities of Practice for RTEs, Product Management, and Delivery Leadership to drive shared learning and knowledge exchange.
• Design and deliver structured coaching programs that accelerate adoption of agile practices and foster improved collaboration between business and technology leaders.
Agile Coaching, Training & Change Management
• Build and refine enterprise-wide coaching approaches, workshop content, and agile training curriculums tailored to multiple maturity levels.
• Partner with HR, Change Management, and Learning teams to embed Agile awareness and leadership mindset programs across the enterprise.
• Lead change management initiatives that help leaders and teams adapt to new ways of working, governance models, and performance practices.
• Serve as an advisor and thought partner to business and technology leaders on scaling agility and product operating models.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of coaching and training interventions through feedback, metrics, and maturity progression.
Enterprise Governance & Continuous Improvement
• Partner with Portfolio and Value Stream leadership to align Agile governance with strategic planning and capacity management.
• Analyze delivery and maturity data to identify systemic patterns, impediments, and improvement opportunities.
• Integrate feedback loops and data-driven insights into enterprise forums to inform prioritization, investment, and transformation roadmaps.
Executive and Cross-Functional Influence
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and transformation sponsors on scaling agility across business and technology.
• Influence leadership behaviors, funding models, and governance processes to align with a product-centric, outcome-driven culture.
• Represent Agile transformation priorities within enterprise planning, portfolio governance, and talent forums.
What You’ll Bring
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree (MBA) preferred.
• 7+ years in Agile Coaching, Transformation, or Operating Model Enablement roles within complex organizations.
• Successful implementation of Agile or Product Operating Models across at least 2–3 large-scale organizations, driving measurable improvements in delivery performance, predictability, and leadership capability.
• Deep expertise in scaled agile frameworks (SAFe, LeSS, or equivalent) and modern product operating models.
• Proven experience designing and facilitating coaching programs, workshops, and agile awareness training.
• Strong understanding of change management principles and experience guiding cultural transformation toward agility.
• Exceptional communication and facilitation skills with the ability to coach senior leaders and technical teams.
• Growth mindset, curiosity, and passion for developing people and improving systems.
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $97,500-$139,500
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
