The Corporate Insurance team identifies, evaluates, mitigates and transfers operational risk through risk financing, claims management, and loss control.  We are seeking a junior to mid-level insurance/risk management senior associate to manage claims, negotiate vendor insurance requirements, procure and assist with insurance renewals, provide insurance quotes for the business areas and special projects.  The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of property, casualty, and professional liability coverage and insurance claims.  

 

Responsibilities:
• Manage Workers' Compensation, property, general liability, and other claims including review and analysis of requests for documents and information from insurance carriers, obtain requested documents and information from internal sources, organize and provide same to carrier
• Assist employees and managers with questions and issues relating to Workers' Compensation claims
• Prepare various insurance renewal submissions, which entails obtaining underwriting data throughout the organization, completing applications, and attending meetings with insurance brokers and underwriters
• Review renewal policies to ensure terms are in accordance with binders
• Negotiate vendor contracts for adequacy of insurance limits and coverage provisions
• Manage claims database
• Provide insurance quotes for business in connection with property policy
• Support safety committee governance
• Obtain property and casualty certificates of insurance for boutiques, Group Benefits Solutions, investment properties, NYL operations and special events

 

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree, 3-5 years of experience
• Basic knowledge of property, casualty, workers’ compensation, and professional liability coverage
• Experience with handling property, casualty, and/or workers’ compensation claims
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organization, analytical, critical thinking skills

Preferred Qualifications:
