The Sales Reporting and Analysis Team is responsible for all sales reporting, validation, analysis, and planning across the organization. As Senior Associate Data Analyst, you will play a key role in coordinating and facilitating ad hoc sales analysis projects, designing and maintaining sales reports and meeting materials, partnering with business units, and coordinating sales planning activities. This is a unique opportunity to partner broadly across the organization, including senior and executive management, while making a real impact on top line sales growth by contributing to planning, strategy, and analysis.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare sales reports and meeting materials for business unit leadership, senior and executive management, board of directors, and external (i.e. LIMRA, rating agency) reporting
  • Partner with Agency, Product, and Finance teams on periodic and ad hoc analysis of sales and agent performance including agent segmentation, sales driver attribution, product performance, VNB, industry/competitor trends, etc.
  • Create and maintain reports and business intelligence tools (in Tableau) to be used internally and/or by business partners to facilitate self-serve data requisition and trend/segmentation analysis.
  • Coordinate sales planning and forecasting activities across all foundational businesses (Agency Insurance, Agency Annuity, LTC, NYLSEC, and Eagle)
  • Leverage experiential data to calculate performance targets for sales campaigns, initiatives, product repricings, etc. and create and maintain reports to track progress
  • Identify process improvement opportunities, working with data and reporting leads, to optimize and automate processes, enhance reports, and generate more insightful analysis

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field preferred
  • 3+ years related work experience – experience in life insurance industry strongly preferred
  • Strong quantitative and data management skills
  • Ability to think strategically and connect the work with team goals and enterprise strategy
  • Interprets business problems and understands how to design an analysis and leverage data to generate relevant insights
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Expertise in Excel and proficiency building PowerPoint presentations required
  • Experience with business intelligence tools (i.e. Tableau, Spotfire, MS Power BI, etc.) and querying data across multiple platforms preferred
