The Distribution Program Manager is a member of the Channel Marketing team, core to the creation and progress of tactical marketing initiatives that align with the New York Life Retail Annuities (RA) strategic business plan across two core B2B distribution channels (Agency and TPD).  In partnership with the Distribution Program Lead, this role will share end-to-end accountability for the initiatives, spanning initial idea generation and vetting, to ongoing project management and campaign evaluation to inform go-forward recommendations.

In addition to being an outstanding communicator, the ideal candidate will be quick-on-their-feet, and able to thoughtfully frame creative marketing campaigns geared to financial sales professionals.  This results-driven role requires a strong attention to detail, natural curiosity, and a “roll-up-your-sleeves” mindset to help the broader team manage deliverables and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. In addition to being a natural problem-solver, the strongest candidate will be able to manage multiple projects, have a flair for B2B marketing programs, and an instinct for turning data, analytics, and research into action.

 

 Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Analytics, Research) to aid in the development, review, and approval of semi-annual Marketing plans that help to achieve RA strategic business objectives
  • Leveraging data and research, work with Distribution Lead and RA Management to identify a target audience, recommend core messaging, frame campaigns, and schedule deployment – with an eye to lead conversion
  • Work with marketing project leads to develop tactical marketing programs, ensuring on-time completion and alignment of message and program components with desired outcome of target audience
  • Monitor campaign performance against key metrics and attainment of marketing objectives
  • Partner with Analytics and Distribution Lead to draw meaningful insights from campaign data and make recommendations for ongoing adjustments and improvements
  • Manage monthly Steering Committee meeting (update documents and discussion points) to keep stakeholders informed of campaign progress and recommended adjustments
  • Support ongoing BAU Channel Marketing activity, as needed

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of related work experience preferably in the financial services industry (experience with career agency system and/or third- party distribution is a plus)
  • Experience with B2B marketing
  • Hands-on proficiency in the development and management of marketing programs
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Outstanding presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
