Senior Associate - Investment Accounting
Location Designation: Hybrid - 3 days per week
Role Overview:
The Limited Partnership Accounting Team is responsible for the accounting and reporting of all investments in Limited Partnerships and Other Invested Assets for the General and Separate Account portfolios. Performs a variety of duties including Statutory and Management reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Conducts the review of cash activity, earnings adjustments, and balance sheet and income statement reconciliations. Ensures that all relevant reporting is accurate and compliant with internal and external accounting policies and standards/regulations. The role also provides financial analysis that explains and supports the reported results.
What You’ll Do:
• Provide Statutory accounting and reporting for the Limited Partnership and Other Invested Assets portfolio. Ensure results are properly recorded and reported on a timely basis.
• Review the processing of daily cash activity and quarterly equity earnings adjustments for limited partnership investments.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly earnings reports and analysis for senior management to be included in the Quarterly Controllers book and the Report to the Investment Committee.
• Review monthly trial balance and income statement reconciliations related to limited partnership investments.
• Collaborate with various teams such as the Tax Department, Office of the Chief Investment Officer, and various investment managers on limited partnership related issues.
• Implement and maintain Investment Accounting Policy in accordance with Statutory Accounting standards and regulation.
• Ensure SOX compliance including documenting, testing, and reviewing controls and procedures.
What You’ll Bring:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience/knowledge of accounting and reporting for Private Equity investments/Limited Partnerships (preferred).
- Proven ability to multi-task in a highly productive environment.
- Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and self-motivating skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong working knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of Investran and SAP systems (preferred).
Pay Transparency
Salary Range: $100,000-$135,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
