New York Life’s primary distribution channel is the career Agency sales force of more than 12,000 agents, operating in virtually every major city in the United States.  Every agent is affiliated with one of our 117 General Offices. These offices are operated by Agency management teams responsible for agent and management recruiting, development, and sales.  Approximately half our agents operate their businesses out of our General Offices, while the other half maintains independent office locations. 


Our General Offices are divided up among four Zones. In addition to our Zone offices, an Agency Home Office team responsible for strategy, finance, administration, standards, training, marketing and communications supports our agents and field managers.  The Agency operation also comprises teams charged with growing our business in key market segments, including the middle-income market, the advanced (high-net-worth) market, select cultural markets, and the women’s markets. Agents sell individual life insurance, individual annuities, and long-term care insurance products, as well as mutual funds


The Investment Solutions & Wealth Planning (ISWP) team consisting of Eagle Strategies, The Nautilus Group and NYLIFE Securities, is focused on helping agents offer financial planning, advice and investment solutions to address client’s short-term and long-term financial needs.   


The Investment Proposal Support Team is responsible for supporting NYL's Registered Representatives and Investment Advisors with the generation of investments proposals designed to illustrate potential product solutions for our clients.  The Senior Associate will leverage a deep understanding of our brokerage, mutual fund, variable annuity, variable universal life and managed accounts solutions to provide guidance to our Registered Representatives and Investment Advisors on the use of our Investment Proposal tool, support their understanding of various product solutions available to our clients and assist in the use of their software to evaluate prospective rollovers of qualified plan assets into new NYL solutions while ensuring NYL's compliance with new regulatory obligations.


Based on the team's engagement with Registered Representatives and Investment Advisors, the Senior Associate will also be responsible for gathering insights and making recommendations to the Team Lead which will inform systems enhancements and development of reference material for the field and our training curriculum.



  • 3-5 years of experience with Investments Proposals or similar portfolio analysis software.
  • Strong communication and service acumen.
  • Understanding of regulatory landscape and evolving regulatory obligations.
  • Extensive knowledge of NYL investment solutions including mutual funds, variable annuity, and variable life product and/or Eagle Strategies offerings.
  • Series 6 or 7; Series 65 preferable (or attained within 3 months of hire)


  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Business Management, Finance, or Economics
  • Positive, customer focused attitude with a desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Must be able to operate in a team environment and contribute to the company and team goals
