The Risk Management Senior Associate is a member of the Risk and Data Analytics & Reporting (RaDAR) team. This individual is responsible for supporting the operational risk analytics program within Business Unit Risk Management (BURM) and executing projects that embed risk management tools and frameworks into the business. This individual will be core to the second line of defense and a key member supporting business unit risk officers in providing independent, expert insights on the risk profile of the business. This individual will work with business area risk groups on collecting/aggregating risk metrics for reporting purposes, utilizing data to enhance risk analyses and implementing value-added tools including data visualization software. This individual will also liaise with other second and third-line functions to gather pertinent information from sources such as risk assessments, audits and regulatory exams to facilitate cross-business risk insights. The individual will collaborate with other Risk Management (RM) functions to implement the overall risk management framework. 


• Support incorporation of quantitative analysis and metrics into RM’s risk analyses including key risk indicators, business and enterprise risk metrics and cataloging of risk data sources for repeated and future use
• Lead facilitator in transitioning BURM current and future reporting into data visualization software Tableau
• Assist and support business unit risk officers in both their normal responsibilities and ad-hoc requests as they arise
• Support business unit risk officers in implementing new risk policies, standards, and frameworks, including key risk indicators, issues management, risk incident management and process-focused risk and control assessments
• Facilitate the update and production of risk reporting, including risk profile summaries and dashboards, for the individual business units
• Compile and deliver weekly reporting to the business' lead risk officers and senior operational risk
management outlining all applicable current initiatives at the individual risk officer level
• Work alongside other risk management functional groups in cross-departmental working groups and initiatives including scenario analysis
• Participate in or lead key initiatives based on current group goals and priorities
• Aid in identifying, testing and implementing tools (e.g., data visualization, data management) that help RM achieve its stated objectives
• Act as BURM Records Coordinator as part of the company’s corporate records management policy.


• BA/BS required
• 5+ years of work experience in investments, insurance or financial services
• Strong analytical skills
• Able to work both independently and as part of a broader team
• Able to multi-task across multiple projects and business areas
• Experience in project management and proven track record of meeting time commitments
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Quick learner, results oriented and a team player
