Role Overview
The Senior SDET – Automation Tester & Lead will help advance quality engineering across web, REST API, and native mobile applications by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation solutions integrated with modern CI/CD pipelines. This role combines deep technical expertise in software testing and automation with quality engineering leadership, partnering closely with developers, product owners, quality engineers, business analysts, and DevOps teams to enable reliable, high-quality software delivery.
The role will provide technical direction across automation and testing activities, identify opportunities to improve quality earlier in the software development lifecycle, and use automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and data-driven insights to increase testing effectiveness and engineering productivity. The successful candidate will bring a quality-first mindset, strong programming and problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to influence testing practices across multiple applications and Agile teams.
What You'll Do
-
Design and advance scalable quality engineering solutions by developing, documenting, and maintaining automation frameworks for web, REST API, native iOS and Android, and connected applications; integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and identify opportunities to apply AI to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
-
Lead comprehensive testing across the software delivery lifecycle by creating and executing automated and manual functional, regression, integration, smoke, and end-to-end test suites; evaluate requirements, user stories, test scope, edge cases, and test results to identify defects and quality risks early.
-
Improve automation and delivery effectiveness by identifying bottlenecks, brittle tests, repetitive manual activities, and coverage gaps; implement sustainable improvements to automation, CI/CD, testing processes, documentation, test data, and quality engineering practices.
-
Establish visibility into software quality and risk by developing and communicating QA metrics across applications and Agile teams, including automation utilization, test failures, defect trends, coverage, risks, and mitigation opportunities, enabling technical and business stakeholders to make informed decisions.
-
Provide quality engineering leadership across Agile teams by partnering with developers, product owners, QA engineers, analysts, and DevOps teams; mentoring colleagues on automation, AI, and CI/CD practices; participating in Agile ceremonies; and promoting consistent standards, documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
