Role Overview:

We’re seeking a Sr. Associate – Vendor Management Analyst to join Technology, Data, and AI team’s Workforce Management C4E focusing on vendor management. This role is focused on supporting the end-to-end contract lifecycle— including intake, review, execution, and renewal. The Sr. Associate will partner across Technology, Data and AI departments, plus Finance and Procurement to maintain a seamless contract pipeline and ensure compliance with internal governance and external regulatory standards.

The role will also play a key part in process improvement and tool adoption, helping ensure a smooth transition to a new contract management tool.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform process redesign of contract review process in partnership with Workforce C4E Lead.
  • Manage day-to-day administration of New York Life’s third-party operations team (TPOT), ensuring proper documentation, review cycles, and approvals.
  • Monitor the fulfillment of contractual obligations, track milestones/deliverables, and oversee correspondence with contracting parties.
  • Support the maintenance of the contract repository for recurring and one-time deliverables, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Facilitate seamless contract workflow transitions as the organization implements a new contract management tool (e.g., Levelpath).

Governance & Risk

  • Develop, define, and document communication and escalation processes to ensure contract issues are surfaced and resolved quickly.
  • Ensure compliance with NYL’s vendor management governance, regulatory, and financial standards.
  • Identify opportunities to gain efficiencies within the Technology Group’s vendor partnerships and streamline contract administration practices.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure adherence to key risk and compliance guardrails during contract execution.

Performance Assessment

  • Lead the end-to-end vendor performance assessment program, including survey creation, management, and execution across strategic suppliers.
  • Analyze survey data to generate performance insights, trends, and benchmarks.
  • Monitor progress on supplier action items and provide ongoing updates to technology leadership, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with Portfolio and VS leads to ensure contracts support operational needs and technology priorities.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, and Legal to coordinate contract reviews, approvals, and escalations through our Third-Party Operations Team for labor contracts.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on contract status, risks, and pipeline health.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in contract lifecycle management, vendor management, or procurement operations.
  • Familiarity with contract governance processes (MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, renewals).
  • Hands-on experience with contract management systems.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills; able to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage Finance, Procurement, Technology leaders, and vendors.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
