 This role serves as the Senior Digital Product Manager for New York Life's digital experience. This role has accountability for creating the digital strategy that brings to life new capabilities and products in a coherent and unified user experience, and in a way that can set NYL up to reach its performance goals around agent productivity, agent retention, and sales growth.

This role will focus on developing a high-profile, complex, multi-year project called: "1 Click Review" - a consolidated statement as a tool for agents and clients alike to enable an easy way to orchestrate a review conversation that truly delivers on holistic, protection first guidance. For advisors/agents, this will be a quick way to bring together a client’s NYL holdings/performance with items held outside of NYL, and create a picture which illustrates for the client: what do you have, how is it doing, are you on track for your goals, and what’s next? ​ This Senior Product owner will be creating a robust performance reporting view over a multi-year roadmap across NYL's broad suite of products.  Integral to this will be the launch of an aggregation capability that will be leverageable across multiple interfaces/tools across the organization in the wealth management and financial planning groups.

This role will work cross-functionally across product groups like NYLIFE Securities, Life, Annuities, and Eagle Investment Advisory, Technology, Service, Agency and Data management to create and execute this roadmap

 The candidate must have a strong in-depth knowledge of business to business sales, financial services, insurance, investments, as well as a comfortable familiarity with technological development and industry leading enterprise digital platforms. Familiarity with investments, performance reporting, account aggregation, or data analytics are also required.


Major Responsibilities:

• Develop vision and digital strategy for end to end digital experiences and business processes to drive effective outcomes, empowering our top producers to attract and retain clients
• Leveraging their identified vision, create a portfolio of high profile, cross-functional digital projects to deliver on core elements of the digital strategy
• Articulate business problems, gather evidence from users and outside sources, clarify the potential solutions with assumptions, guiding principles, strategic connections
• Perform research to understand the current state, map out happy and unhappy user journeys, conduct user research and feedback engagement en route to sharing and validating these findings with users, business stakeholders and technology partners.
• Work in partnership with User Experience Design Leads to create solution prototypes that are then used solicit additional feedback from key stakeholders
• Partner with Product Owner team and Technology partners to ensure high-quality, efficient execution of key initiatives in a scaled agile delivery framework
• Serve as primary evangelist of digital capabilities with internal, field, and executive stakeholders
• Manage multiple tasks of varying complexity across multiple timelines and responsible parties


Education: Master’s Degree preferred



• Must have 10+ years of industry related experience, 5 of which should relate to product management, design, or business facing product development

• Experience in performance reporting a strong plus

• Deep experience in asset management or wealth management a plus

• Fluency in technical delivery a plus

• Must have very strong organization and collaboration skills: will work collaboratively with various business and technology teams to drive better alignment / integration of key initiatives and make sure they fit into the overall vision for the Agent Digital Experience. Partner with UX team, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure mobile-first, consumer grade digital experiences.

•  Must be very strong in front of user, stakeholder, and business executive audiences: Serve as key evangelist for our digital properties and overall agent digital strategy across different business teams and with key agent user groups.


Leadership:  Will manage a portfolio of high-profile, cross-functional tech/business initiatives as part of the conceiving and implementing an end-to-end digital strategy for key agency value streams.
