Position summary
This role is part of the HR Operations Data Governance Team.  With general supervision, the HR Governance and Data Management Senior Specialist is responsible for addressing inquiries and transaction processing related to employee files in Employee Central. The transactions include but are not limited to the following: Personal Data, Promotions, Salary Adjustments, Transfers, Location Changes, Job Postings, Title Changes, and Reporting inquiry questions from HR Business Partners, other areas of Human Resources and the broader NYL Organization.

 

Main responsibilities include:

  • HR data entry and reporting processes and strategies to ensure the completeness, accuracy, reasonability, and delivery of employee data for the NYL Enterprise.
  • Timely processing of inquiries sent to the HR Operations - Employee Data Management mailbox within HR Central and internal ticketing systems (Dovetail / ServiceNow).
  • Cross collaboration with HR Business Partners to field and address employee data inquiries for the NYL Enterprise.  
  • Quarterly testing for updates to Employee Central (SuccessFactors) and Employee Central Payroll.
  • Perform projects and other duties, as needed.
  • Engage in HR data entry modernization projects, which will impact future internal transaction processing, reporting, and data management.
  • Facilitate compliance and adoption of NYL Operation Risk Management’s Corporate Records Management (CRM) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) policies and procedures, including annual department requirements, assessments, and observation remediation. 
  • Conduct HR systems-wide data quality and reasonableness review, including data auditing, exception reporting, root cause analysis, remediation, data cleansing, data monitoring, and establishing data management business rules and process workflows based on documented data quality requirements and data quality metrics.
  • Continuously demonstrate urgency on critical deliverables, proactively address issues, and follow-up for resolution while focusing on client partnering.

 

Required Qualificaitons

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Human Resources area of study preferred
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Strong interpersonal and written communications and organizational skills to work closely with and communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to navigate through numerous sources and understand how specific data points are dependent upon others
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and perform complete and accurate transaction processing and reporting
  • Ability to interpret and understand policies and standards
  • Performs well in a team environment and can work independently
  • Proficient with SAP Human Capital Management solutions (SuccessFactors, Payroll, and Performance Management)
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in handling data
