The position is a Hybrid based role (on-site Tues, Wed, Thurs)

Locations: New York, NY (New York) (Primary), Alpharetta, GA (Georgia), Jersey City, NJ (New Jersey), Lebanon, NJ (New Jersey)

 

We are looking for a Solution Delivery Lead to join our technology team to design and execute on a multi-year technology roadmap that drives increased business value from our technology investments. You will work with our team of talented analysts, and engineers to design, build and enhance solutions for our Salesforce platform and its eco-system using modern technology stacks, creating exceptional experiences for our stakeholders to solve business opportunities.

 

You will be collaborating with our Product Owners and Managers to understand the business challenges, goals and desired outcomes; prioritizing and sequencing solutions to effectively deliver.  You will partner with our architects to ensure the solution/technology is appropriately aligned with the overall product strategies and enterprise business strategy.  You will actively engage with our vendors to influence product roadmaps, evaluate product releases to take advantage of out-of-the-box new features and capabilities.  You will be responsible for developing junior talent, and as a team deliver exceptional results.

 

Role Summary

  • The Solution Delivery Lead understands the value of software architecture and strategy with a passion for leading and developing teams, working closely with business partners to maximize work sequence and flow leveraging technology to solve business opportunities.
  • Collaborates with the Product Managers and/or Owners to understand the business challenges and outcomes within a given Value Stream assisting in the definition of EPICS, MBIs and Stories and the prioritization of the Team Backlog to streamline the execution of the Value Stream priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team.
  • Partners with architects to ensure the solution/technology is appropriately aligned with the overall product strategies
  • Works closely and shares ideas with architect, engineers, developers, and BAs
  • Is an expert resource understanding business domain and able to translate to technology teams
  • Has the ability and desire to gain deep functional knowledge in enterprise platforms to leverage appropriately within the organization driving maximum business value
  • Actively improves the work environment in which all knowledge workers operate through direct engagement with our Centers for Enablement (C4Es)
  • Responsible for coaching and career development of the resources within their assigned Train teams​
  • Delivers on team commitments ensuring transparency of work, challenges, blockers, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Able to elicit requirements including how will outcomes be measured, explore them with stakeholders, negotiate priorities, facilitate modeling sessions, design-thinking sessions and document resulting actions and decisions
  • Understands who to work with in the entire range of stakeholders, including both business and technical stakeholders, building effective relationships to execute in the best interests of the organization and its goals, balancing the different situations and needs of our various lines of businesses
  • Identifying effective ways of working; partnering with lead roles to help team members accel in their roles to collectively drive the overall productivity of the team   
  • Translate product and feature strategy into User Stories assisting the team with Story definition, identification of any necessary exploration enablers, story estimation and sequencing for Program Increment and iteration planning. Able to prioritize the work of the team AND need to be comfortable with doing so ensuring the right balance and mix of work types to optimize short and longer terms outcomes
  • Ensures delivery of scope, partners with delivery teams to ensure user stories are clear and remove barriers for team members and resolves open issues/questions quickly and efficiently
  • Ability to depict complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences
  • Ability to make quick and challenging decisions daily
  • Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders through strong leadership skills
  • A highly experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst uncertainty or ambiguity
  • A strong focus on the customer and connected experience to drive effectiveness and productivity of our end users

 

Education/Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems and/or equivalent experience
  • Certification in SAFe, Disciplined Agile, and/or LEAN a plus
  • Salesforce certification(s) desired

 

Previous Experience

  • 3-5 years direct experience working with agile teams as well as relevant experience  within the financial service industry, preferably in the distribution of Insurance and/or wealth management products
  • Experience planning and executing in Agile Ways of Working (Disciplined Agile, Scrum, SAFe, LEAN)

 

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to bring together the right SMEs for input and decision making
  • A strong understanding of multi-channel delivery
  • Proven ability to lead a team or teams that are responsible for driving the advancement of the overall Value Stream roadmap through Agile Ways of Working
  • Proven success influencing and working effectively across a broad and complex organization
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a large organization to influence process adoption and continuous improvement
  • Ability to lean into the culture and foster team collaboration, decision making and execution
  • Deep Functional knowledge of the Salesforce platform with a focus on at least 1 of the Salesforce.com major platforms (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud), integration best practices and the broader Salesforce eco-system
  • Data model design and implementation
  • Experience using various Agile and Devops delivery toolsets
