Role Overview:
Our Talent Acquisition team is looking for a Technology Recruiter with experience in hiring for technology and professional positions, from entry to officer level positions. Our Recruiters are valuable partners to our business, executing on recruiting strategies in support of our goal to attract top talent to the organization. A Recruiter at New York Life requires skills in direct sourcing, screening, and assessing candidates, as well as with developing and negotiating offers.
What You'll Do:
- Independently managing your own requisition load and full life cycle recruiting process across a functional group which can range from 20-25 openings at a given time.
- Providing overall direction of the Recruiting Strategy for assigned clients, establishing guidelines and procedures concerning staffing best practices and process improvements.
- Advising hiring managers on all staffing, sourcing, and recruiting initiatives and keep them apprised of recruitment trends impacting the business.
- Crafting job descriptions and assessing candidates against competencies
- Coaching hiring managers and others involved in the recruitment process.
- Designing and delivering customized recruitment strategies to include candidate pipelining, diversity, resource allocation, and search agency review.
- Partnering with Diversity Strategy to ensure that diverse talent acquisition strategies are driven throughout the organization.
- Collaborating closely with HR Business Partner teams in delivering specific recruiting campaigns and reporting progress on a regular basis
- Staying up to date on recruiting challenges and trends, labor laws, and legislative initiatives that have implications on the profitability of the business.
- Participating in talent review and workforce planning discussions with HR Business Partner and Recruiting Managers as appropriate
- Partnering with vendors to leverage outsourcing opportunities, monitoring agency performance.
- Determining recruiting effectiveness though reporting and data analysis
What You'll Bring:
- 6+ years of experience recruiting for financial services – recruitment for technology, strategy, data analytics is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required for this role.
- Demonstrated success in a competitive talent market with strong focus on diversity and expertise in advanced sourcing techniques in social media, direct recruiting, and other recruiting strategies.
- Attentive client and candidate service, includes providing weekly recruitment status and metrics to Recruiting Manager, HR Business Partners, and other key stakeholders.
- Highly experienced in working with an ATS.
- Meticulous attention to detail, strong multi-tasking and follow-through required.
- Strong consultation and negotiation skills, and superior oral and written communication skills are required with ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong work ethic with demonstrated experience taking initiative, working well under pressure, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Salary range: $90,000-$135,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
