Sr. Associate, Sr. Accountant, Group Benefits Solutions

Role Overview:

Manages monthly financial analysis and reporting of Disability premiums and ASO Fees as well as focusing on opportunities to improve processes.  Presents results and recommendations to management.  Typically has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and six or more years of significant experience.

 

What You 'll Do:

  • Responsible for preparing monthly analysis of Disability premiums and ASO fees.
  • Analysis to enhance the accuracy, completeness and consistency of Disability premiums and ASO fees.
  • Coordinate with matrix partners within GBS Finance and Revenue Management for fluctuation questions.
  • Facilitates the recording of monthly and quarterly journal entries in the SAP general ledger and the FPSL Sub-ledger.
  • Responsible for preparing reconciliations of manual FPSL Disability adjustments and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Maintains documentation of internal controls processes in compliance with Model Audit Rule (MAR) and Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Supports recurring internal and external audits and financial exams.
  • Participates in special projects as needed, either as a subject matter expert or team leader.

 

What You'll Bring:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance preferred 
  • 6 or more years of Accounting/Finance experience: public accounting or insurance related experience a plus, but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret and evaluate premiums and ASO fees for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a multi-task environment with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Motivated, proactive self-starter.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software

Pay Transparency

Salary Range:  $95,000-$162,500 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No 

 

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual’s experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
