The Administrative Services department is seeking an Administrative Specialist to support various departments. We are responsible for the research and resolution of incoming claims documents, and for supporting customer inquiries as they arise. The ideal candidate would possess a strong customer service focus, attention to detail, the ability to multitask, and willingness to take initiative related to departmental objectives and process improvements.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Claims Intake, Customer Care, Family Medical Leave, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability and Paid Family Leave departments 
  • Research incoming documents and checks and deliver to appropriate party and/or route to appropriate benefit case
  • Gather and research data to address customer inquiries; Generate and send out correspondence to address and resolve inquiries
  • Scan and upload documents onto Workbench claim system
  • Track and locate physical files; Archive closed claims to offsite storage
  • Utilizing Excel to maintain existing inventory logs, ensuring they are current and accurate in order to track and report departmental data
  • Maintain regular communication with peers, cross-departmental business partners, and managers regarding compliance and work-related issues


Skill Requirements & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1+ years of administrative or customer service experience, specifically with filing, scanning, and data entry
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and multitask between competing priorities
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail related to review and entry of information
  • Working knowledge Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to stand and walk 35% of the day, and lift 15-20 lbs to moving files throughout the office




Salary range: $35,000-$40,000 

Overtime eligible: Nonexempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
