LTD Group Claims Senior Claim Manager

 

You are a key contributor to your team charged with the team’s technical coaching, second eye reviews on claim decisions, quality checks, and reviewing the team’s inventory for trends to share with the Team Leader and Claim Managers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Technical and quality coaching on claims, contracts, content, and best approach while holding claim managers accountable for their work quality.
  • Proactively reviewing team’s inventory to identify trends and provide feedback to Team Leader and Claim Managers.
  • Partner with QRS for claim consultation and share learnings with CMs.
  • Embodies company’s commitment to high ethical and fair claim standards, corporate compliance, Policies and Procedures and best practices with employees. 
  • Monitors and adjusts team workload distribution as needed.
  • Consistently drives initiatives/efforts to successful and compliant outcomes.
  • Partners with Team Leader to develop, motivate, recognize and retain staff to build bench strength within the organization.
  • Demonstrates solid planning and organizational skills with the ability to address short- and long-term goals while prioritizing and addressing ongoing issues.
  • Building strong customer relationships by making regular efforts to adjust approach to ensure their needs are always being met.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Technical acumen of group insurance industry
  • Clear and concise professional communication using all mediums
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • High school diploma, or GED from an accredited school required.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to comprehend and clarify complex and ambiguous concepts
  • Minimum of 3 years Long Term Disability claim management experience
  • Previous technical experience directing or coaching others
  • Maintains professionalism and flexibility despite conflicting demands
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and critical thinking skillset
  • Integrity, objectivity, and personal accountability
