Our Marketing Content Production team plays a key role supporting the New York Life brand and facilitating connections between our agents and customers, as well as agent candidates and recruiters. This team, which is part of the Marketing and Process Operations Practice, is responsible for content production.  As a member of this team, you will support the creation and production of new content and content revisions for critical marketing campaigns created to increase brand awareness and attract new customers.

 

We are seeking a Content Production Lead.  The role is responsible for supporting the production, design, and print of marketing and creative deliverables working with internal creative teams, designated third party vendors, marketing leaders and stakeholders across the enterprise.

  • Demonstrate understanding of the creative process, vendor management, file management and print purchasing protocols.
  • Strong partnership and willingness to collaborate with internal creative teams, marketing leaders and third-party vendors who support the creation and distribution of marketing materials.
  • Ability to develop plans, identify and mitigate risks and manage dependencies to successfully complete creative deliverables.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Management: Review, understand and align to inputs specified in creative/campaign briefs or project inputs.  Support the production of creative deliverables aligned to project objectives and NYL brand standards. Understand and align to creative service level agreements and due dates for marketing projects. Approach projects with a high level of urgency to meet due dates.
  • Production Development/Revisions: Manage revisions of creative concepts, make necessary updates to design layouts to support various distribution/platform protocols.
  • Creative Agency Support: Support external creative agency related to revisions to existing art files and templates including supplying reference files and ensuring creative outputs align to print/mail and personalized data field requirements.   
  • Proof Review/Approval: Manage the proof creation, review, adjustment and approval process with creative agencies, project requesters and third-party vendors.  
  • File Management: manage creative art files on NYL digital asset management platform.  Follow file set up and naming protocols to meet project archival requirements.
  • Print Production: Work with third party vendors to manage the print production and mailing process including: print estimation, vendor selection, print production, finishing/print spec definition, quality control reviews, development of production and mailing schedules and management of the purchase order creation process.
  • Marketing on Demand Program Management: Management of yearly programs (Greeting Cards/Calendars) and marketing assets on NYL’s Marketing on Demand Platform.  Manage platform updates and create consistency with assets on the platform that are aligned to third party vendor print production and distribution standards.

 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills (internal employees and contractor/third party partner resources)
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Process orientated, problem solver, ability to manage multiple efforts and balance work strategically
  • Understanding of graphic design elements, variable design and print production
  • Ability to partner with Campaign Team, Marketing Data Management Team & Marketing Partners to deliver against a strict schedule
  • Proven ability to present design layouts in coordination with Brand elements
  • Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize work in a deadline driven environment

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience in graphic design development
  • Strong knowledge of design suites (InDesign and Illustrator preferred)
  • Knowledge in print production and print purchasing protocols
  • Marketing operations experience is a plus

 

 

Salary range: $65,000-$100,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
