The Director of Field Web leads the strategy and implementation for our Agent / Recruiter discoverability initiatives. This role will develop the product strategy, roadmap, and business requirements to enable experiences that improve the presence of NYL Agents and Recruiters. This role is responsible for seamlessly launching programs, tracking performance metrics, and developing performance objectives that align to key marketing goals.


Key Responsibilities:


Roadmap Development

  • Develop strategic approach, projects, and timelines that align to key business initiatives
  • Solves complex digital challenges and makes strategic decisions to achieve program goals
  • Manages large projects, delivery schedules, and key aspects of product development with coordination between Marketing, Agency, and Service
  • Communicate roadmap and key program enhancements with stakeholders across the organization (Field, Agency, Marketing)



  • Lead project initiation, planning, and ongoing management with key stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Deliver presentations and communications for leadership across the organization (including the executive staff) on key product enhancements
  • Works across the organization to understand and enable digital experiences that contributes to the overall success of our Agents & Recruiters
  • Anticipates changes within the digital market and insurance industry, and recommend solutions / enhancements for future web optimizations
  • Works with a cross-functional team of UX, UI, SEO, content, and other key stakeholders to develop digital experiences and ongoing product enhancements
  • Help define key processes and workflow for delivering digital experiences


Analytics and Measurement

  • Work with analytic partners to develop and report on key metrics that inform digital roadmaps and enhancements 
  • Work with internal / external teams to develop, conduct, and analyze online user tests to identify future enhancement opportunities
  • Work with internal / external stakeholders to develop, conduct, and analyze onsite testing strategies (AB, Multivariate, and targeted experiences)



Skills and Requirements: 

  • BA/BS required
  • 7+ years of experience developing web programs, with 2 years of management experience
  • Requires in-depth knowledge and/or breadth of experience web product management (UX, UI, Content, SEO, HTML, CMS, coding principles, etc.) 
  • Ability to lead and organize teams to deliver digital solutions
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale web programs at a Fortune 500 company
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; both written and verbal
  • Ability to anticipate market or business issues and recommend improvements / enhancements
  • Creative problem solver with proven track record of making sound business decisions
  • Solves unique and complex problems; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions
  • Ability to use data and consumer insights to make strategic decisions 
  • Experience with managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, very deadline-driven environment
  • Strong presentation and communication skills. Ability to communicate complex ideas with others (junior to executives) and persuade audience to align to a single strategic point of view. 
  • Proven leader with a team first mentality and the ability to build cross-functional relationships
