Responsibilities

Corporate Finance is seeking an Information Security Senior Associate with a minimum of four (4) years of professional experience. This role will be a member of our Finance Technology Security team. The role is embedded Finance to promote a strong partnership with our internal financial professionals. Within this role, you will directly be supporting the security operations for a variety of applications across our Finance Systems, Treasury and Third-Party Banking Platforms.

 

  • The Information Security Senior Associate position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the security associated with our Accounting, Treasury and General Ledger environments.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining user access changes and solving complex problems associated with system access and control.
  • Key functions of the role include provisioning and deprovisioning of user access, design and deployment of role-based security and ensuring that critical controls are maintained.
  • Within this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the user access rights align to the business processes for each of the systems we support.
  • Controlling access to key financial systems is a critical part of ensuring the integrity and accuracy of our Financial Reporting.
  • Support the integration of Finance Systems with our Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform.
  • Partner with both Financial and Technical specialists to maintain and enhance the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) controls associated with New York Life’s SAP General Ledger system.
  • Engage with our Business teams to identify and document requirements for changes as well as support the documenting, testing and deployment of security enhancements though a robust change governance process.
  • The role will also require complex problem-solving abilities to deploy access control solutions for enhancements to our current business processes as well as projects that help the organization meet our strategic needs.
  • Proactively identify risks and security concerns and take action to develop solutions to mitigate any issues identified.
  • Drive and manage Departmental projects to address both Security and technical challenges within the systems that we support.
  • Address the deployment of new security access to address the changing needs of our business partners across the Finance and Treasury functions.
  • Partner with our Treasury team to enhance and grow security models within both our banking and Treasury Management System to address both daily requests and changes driven by new business challenges.
  • Liaison with Treasury, Investment, Banking Portals, Internal / External, external banks, and vendors. Treasury, Investment Account and System Controls to provide support for Treasury and Finance Systems access.
  • Directly manage the work being performed by other team members with a focus on both the timeliness and accuracy of the work being performed.
  • Partner with our internal audit and control teams to provide support for both changes and enhancements made within our body of work.
  • In addition to providing supporting security functions, this role will also partner with business teams to support and manage the governance associated with supporting critical business functions for other applications across Finance.

 

Qualifications

The Information Security Senior Associate position requires the following skills and experience to be successful:

  • 4-year college degree preferred with a focus on Information Security or Information Systems
  • 5 years of experience performing role-based information security access control with a focus on Security Operations, security design analysis and risk identification
  • Experience supporting Financial and Banking security models
  • Demonstrated experience in building and deploying role-based security access
  • Prefer experience with Treasury Management Systems such as Kyriba
  • Proficiency in managing the security in one or more of the following: Active Directory, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft SQL, SS&C Applications, Bank Portals (e.g., JPMorgan Chase, CitiBank, BNYM, etc.), Microsoft SharePoint
  • Experience with ServiceNow to manage requests and incidents
  • Experience with Identity Access Management systems such as SailPoint
  • Strong Change Management background
  • Experience with all Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Visio and Outlook
  • Audit and control background to help identify security and control concerns
  • Competent in performing and documenting system testing using testing tools such as Practitest
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with a sense of urgency and ability to change focus to complete critical tasks
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills with a problem-solution attitude
  • Detail oriented, with a comprehensive approach to validating and proofing deliverables

 

 

Salary range: $90,000-$135,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
